Question is for Gynecologist Doc I'll be getting married in Dec an I want to conceive soon with a month or two, what should I do.

Gynaecologist,
Question is for Gynecologist Doc I'll be getting married in Dec an I want to conceive soon with a month or two, what ...
The pregnancy happens when sperms meet ovum in the fallopian tube of the female. While sperms are always deposited at every acy of coitus, the release of the ovum is a event that has no sign. Most women cannot find out when they have ovulation. Also that the ovum when released from ovary has a life span of just 24-48 hours. So any body not having sex in this ovulation period will not conceive. The best day to predict ovulation is found by the following formula. If your partner has regular periods, then she will be able to predict her menses date based on her know how. Find the expected of menses (edm) now count 14 days before it. This day is the date of the most possible ovulation. As a matter of safety consider 3 days on either side of this date, and thus you will get 6 days in each cycle where the possibility of ovulation and hence pregnancy is highest. Most women may not have regular cycles and in such the above mentioned formula may fail. Say for a girl whose menses is regular and expected on 28th april, the day of probable ovulation would be 15th april and considering 3 days on either side, the fertile period would be 12-18th april also in a woman having 12 regular periods in a year, the ovulation may not occur each cycle, but it may happen few times a year. So this is just a probability if a couple having regular sexual activity doesnot conceive in a year of their efforts, they must get treated by a gynecologist.

Hello, Sex stimulates forward peristalsis movement of the intestine. If you have some gastric trouble or constipation problem, sexual stimulation can result in trapped and obstructed gases in the bowel this causing cramping abdominal pain after sex. Its not an infection or any other disease. Improve your bowel habits, take fibrous diet, fix meal timings, take dry figs or raisins at night with milk. Your problems will be solved.

As you r married since more than a year with regular sex (3-4 times a week) that is the time you should seek medical help. There r 2 basic tests which r needed in such case. Semen analysis (15 million/ml is normal count) and hsg to find out about the fallopian tube potency. If both r normal which is usually the case next treatment is with climiphene citrate for 5 days with follicular monitoring. If you want to delay the treatment then you can try calender method: If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26days) minus18days=8th day. The longest cycle (31days) minus 10days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period.

Homoeopathic Treatment For Abortion/Miscarriage

Homoeopathic Treatment For Abortion/Miscarriage

Being a mother is the greatest gift to womankind. Every woman dreams of bearing a child. The feeling of being a mom is beyond any description. For some women, conception becomes a long and painful struggle. The fetus requires a complete 28 weeks to mature. Women who are unable to hold fetus or where fetus ceases to grow to suffer complications. Abortion is a term used for medical termination of pregnancy. It can be induced by drugs or surgery. However, complications can arise within any trimester causing a miscarriage. Miscarriage refers to the loss of a fetus before 20 weeks of pregnancy. A miscarriage is medically known as spontaneous abortion that may occur due to fetal or maternal complaints.

The symptoms of a spontaneous abortion are severe pain, cramps or heaviness in abdomen, fluid or tissues passing from the vagina or vaginal spotting or bleeding. These are warning signs and immediate gynaecologist attention is required in case of any such symptoms.

Let’s look at some of the causes of miscarriage:

  1. Faults in the genetic makeup of the fetus or chromosomal abnormalities can cease fetal growth.

  2. Immune system disorders

  3. Infection such as syphilis, rubella, poliomyelitis can lead to fetal death

  4. Trauma and injury due to accidents may cause loss of fetus

  5. Lifestyle factors such as excessive smoking, drinking, drug abuse can lead to fetal death.

  6. Women with fibroids, cysts, menstrual issues or uterine abnormalities have a tendency for recurrent abortions.

  7. Women with hormonal imbalances also tend to suffer miscarriages.

Homeopathy, with its holistic systems approach, provides highly individualised treatment for recurrent abortions. This all natural treatment targets the symptoms of the disease in totality. Homeopathic treatment of miscarriages goes beyond treating complications in conception and aims to restore uterus health and hormonal balance. It also deals with psychological symptoms like mood swings, irritability, anger, depression and fear that become associated due to recurrent failures in pregnancy. Morning and evening sickness can also be effectively managed through homeopathic medication.

Apart from this, homeopathy effectively combines a preventive and curative approach to treatment. It ensures that the patient is treated for the miscarriage and her health be restored for further conception

  1. Arnica is a well-known remedy for miscarriages in case it happens due to falls, lifting weights or violent concussion. If given in time, it may reduce the chance of miscarriage.

  2. Caulophyllum: deals with the tendency of miscarriage due to weakening of uterine tissues.

  3. Crocus Sativa: Deals with the tendency of abortion in Ist or 2nd month and issues like mood swings, violence, repentance and sadness.

  4. Erigon: effective remedy for irritability, abortion due to exercise and profuse bleeding.

  5. Sepia: Deals with morning sickness, depression, the tendency to abort in 5th to 7th month.

These and many other remedies are available for effective and long term treatment. Remember to consult a qualified homeopathic doctor for the same.

Medicinal drugs like ibuprofen, aspirin or naproxen can be taken to reduce mentsrual pain and cramps. The ones with regular menstrual cycle can consider taking them one day before the period starts, to avoid natural discomfort during menstruation.

Home Remedies for Joint Pain

Master in Psychology, MD - Ayurveda, Dems, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda,
Home Remedies for Joint Pain
1. Massage
Massage therapy helps relieve joint pain by improving circulation and soothing inflammation. In fact, several studies indicate that regular massage can improve pain, stiffness and range of motion in the affected joint.
To massage the affected area, use warm oil like coconut, olive, mustard, castor or garlic oil and apply gentle pressure while massaging.

2. Hot and cold compresses
Alternating hot and cold compresses can also help ease joint pain. Heat therapy helps decrease pain, increase blood flow and relax sore muscles and joints. Cold therapy reduces inflammation and numbs the areas around the affected joint.
- Wrap both compresses in separate towels before using them. They should not be applied directly to the skin.
- Place the hot compress on the affected area for about three minutes.
- Remove the compress and immediately put a cold compress in its place for about one minute.
- Repeat the process for 15 to 20 minutes a few times daily until you get relief

I don't get any sexual feeling in vagina but in clitoris and I had severe pain during intercourse what should I do to stop this pain and feel relaxation.

MD Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Ahmedabad
Firstly learn to relax, secondly ask your partner to go in for more foreplay. You need to give more time in kissing, carresing and fondling rather than rush into intercourse. Please try to use a lubricant jelly, it does wonders, inspite of all this, if you r not happy, get a counselling from a sexologist.

Hello- Pregnancy test done is insignificant as it comes positive earliest only after ten days of missed menses. Since you have taken an emergency contraceptive pill, it can cause vaginal bleed to abort the pregnancy, if it fails, or bleeding is not seen, it might be possible that you might have conceived pregnancy. So you have atleast a month or so to take any step, after confirming whether you are pregnant or not.

It is highly unlikely that she would have concieved. However it is best to use condoms during each act of sextual intercourse. Because both r young unmarried and cannot afford a pregnancy at this stage of your life and career. Also condoms will prevent transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.
