Medical Conditions leading to gray hair- 1.Thyroid Disease: An underactive or overactive thyroid can affect the melanin production in the hair which can cause premature greying 2.B12 Deficiency: Deficiency of B12 has also been linked to premature greying of hair. 3.Vitiligo: Vitiligo is a disease that is caused when the pigment producing cells in your skin and hair are damaged. Once the cells in your scalp are damaged, melanin production is reduced  and hair begins to turn grey. First we have to rule out any such condition ,for permanent cure you can go for constitutional homoeopathic treatment which will take your detailed symptoms into account .

I am 39 years of age man. And suffering from Psoriasis vulgaris from last 7 -8 years. Any curable treatment is there? What are the treatments?

I am 39 years of age man. And suffering from Psoriasis vulgaris from last 7 -8 years. Any curable treatment is there?...
Hi lybrate-user, psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. We are treating psoriasis using ayurvedic medicines. Psoriasis has three stages. First stage is when disease remain on skin and there are scaly patches. Second stage comes when there is pitting on nails and in last stage it enter the joints and there is pain in small joints. Generally patient use steroidal application on patches which give temporary relief and disease reappear after 2/3 days. In severe cases methotrexate is used which is not a safer option and is liver toxic. Ayurveda has got a complete remedy for psoriasis. It is a safer option and can be used for longer duration without any side effects. Ayurvedic external application give very quick results with sun exposure in clearing the scales and internal treatment does not allow the disease to re appear. Psoriasis is a manageable disease and can be managed with ease and effectively using ayurveda. You should use 3 gms of haldi with milk helps in psoriasis patients. For more info you can contact us via lybrate.

Leave it alone for the time being, same scars will improve over a period ot time. Use Vaseline or Petroleum jelly to improve the slin quality. Scar revision is one of the most frequently performed surgeries and we are the pioneers in central India since last 30 years. .Surgery may be the only answer. .Surgery /Laser/Chemical Peel/Dermabrasion are the the possibilities. The surgery is almost painless because there are enough medications to keep the pain under control. Scars improve over time -alteast 1 year or more. If they do not improve then Plastic surgery consultation may be sought. Scars can be improved by surgery but not deleted. We need to examine the patient to know what is wanted and what can be done and to work out how much, when, where, etc

Cover you head with a scarf when you go out. It prevents dirt from getting in your hair. Do not head outside just after washing your hair. All sort of damage happens to your hair because of this. Massage your scalp with a mix of good oils once in every two days - olive oil, sesame oil, almond oil etc.

I am 20 years old male. I have stretch marks on my muscles n armpit areas. How can I get rid of these marks?

Stretch marks are difficult to treat. Prevention is more important. We can try co2 ablative laser, chemical peel, dermabrasion, collagen induction therapy for stretch marks removal apart from plastic surgery.

Hello lybrate user- recurring acne problems occur in females due to two factors, that is menstrual disturbances or having irregular diet. You have to change your routine too along with the treatment. Try these ayurvedic tips- a) avoid spicy diet and fast foods, and late night workouts. B) use mahamanjisthadi kwath 2 tsp twice daily. C) gandhak rasayana 1 tab twice daily. D) arogya wardhini wati 1 tab twice daily. E) treat your menses problem if having.

I am losing hair I have tried all shampoos not effective pls tell me to give to solve.
Please note the following in respect to your queries: there can be many reasons behind your hair fall - like mental worries, nutritional deficiency, hereditary and anemia. Take homeopathic medicine baryta carb 200 (5 drops in little water) one dose and revert after 2 weeks. Apply jaborandi hair oil. Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. Add more vitamin rich food to your diet. Avoid stress and anger by meditation. Cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. Take sound/good sleep. Avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight/ hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends.

Massage your scalp daily. Massaging helps circulate blood and brings nutrients to the scalp. Put both your hands on the head and move your fingers in slow, circular motion. Massaging will make your scalp warm and tingly — it is an indicator that blood is flowing to the scalp which will help in hair growth.

I have been suffering from constant hair fall. What should I do. Its in my family heredity. What should I do?
Is your hair loss accompanied with greying of hair and have they become very thin? your hair needs a very high protein well-rounded diet. Hair and nails are the last organs to get nutrition in the body, hence only if all the organs get sufficient nutrition and proteins, only then the remaining nutrition would be used for hairs. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress, current/past dandruff and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hair growth and repair.

My friend have a white spot on his neck. other friends are told that it is allergy. Please Suggest Medicines
White patches on your skin are a common type of depigmented skin lesion associated with an infection, allergy, or autoimmune disorder. One common cause of white spots, or hypopigmentation, is a fungal infection of the skin known as tinea versicolor (associated with other symptoms, such as itching or dryness on or around the white patches). This fungal infection is not contagious and can be treated easily with over-the-counter medications. Please tell me other symptoms like about sensation on the area, since how long do you have this patch, any family history of white patch, etc. In the mean time you can take cal phos 6x, 4 tabs twice daily. Do send me a clear photo of the affected area.

Does water affect hairs nd make them dry and roughf or it is because of shampoo that I use.

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD

Does water affect hairs nd make them dry and roughf or it is because of shampoo that I use.
It can be both. If the water is hard (contains salt), it will cause hair dryness. If you think shampoo is the reason, change the shampoo and see. Use a shampoo that is for dryness care. If hard water is the problem, you can wash your hair with bottled ro water. It will cost more but will keep your hair healthy.

How to improve my color? Is there any solution if any please lwt me know my age is 26.

BHMS

How to improve my color? Is there any solution if any please lwt me know my age is 26.
Believe me, if you are happy from inside and taking nutritious, healthy food and daily yoga or some kind of exercises, it will be automatically reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face!! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 ? a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet: -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon,orange,gooseberry,etc.Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce) . If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off.
