Learn To Spot The Warning Signs!

Blackish discoloration of tooth might be a cavity. Ignoring it will lead to tooth nerve involvement which causes tooth pain.

I am aged 25 weighing 71. 5 kg. I have been suffering from halitosis for the past two years. I've tried all the suggestions I came across on the internet and from people around me like using a tongue scraper every morning, brushing twice a day and rinsing my mouth after every meal. I noticed that my breath is usually terrible when I fast or eat very early in the morning and I also experience dry throat after talking for a while which makes me to take lots of water most times. Please I need help as I am beginning to think that the cause of my halitosis may be an internal problem (probably overgrowth of unhealthy bacteria in my system). Please I need help and suggestions on what to do to get rid of the halitosis. Thanks.

You may review your oral hygiene habits. Try making lifestyle changes, such as brushing your teeth and tongue after eating, using dental floss, and drinking plenty of water. This may cause poor dental hygiene, bad habits, tobacco products medication infection in mouth etc. There r so many home remedies but not always effective bcz. The reason is unknown. We have to remove the cause so its medicinal treatment depends on causes in homeo. So call back for online treatment.

Scaling should be done in how many months gap. Is it good for teeth doing again and again in 6 months of gap.

Scaling should be done in how many months gap. Is it good for teeth doing again and again in 6 months of gap.
The best way to know if scaling is required for you at that point of time is to visit your dentist every six months for a routine check up.in theory, scaling is recommended every six months but your dentist can examine the health of your teeth and gums and suggest the frequency of scaling required by you.

Tooth Sensitivity - Everything You Should Know About It!

Tooth Sensitivity - Everything You Should Know About It!

Tooth sensitivity is a condition when the nerve ending in the teeth are overly sensitive to hold hot and cold conditions. Drinking and eating hot or cold food may cause a sharp pain in the tooth. A material called dentin, which is what makes up the inside of your tooth, is protected by the enamel in the crown and the cementum in the root of the tooth. In cases when the dentin loses its covering, teeth may become sensitive.

Causes of sensitive teeth:
1. Inflammation caused by bacteria may lead to sensitive teeth.
2. Gum diseases such as gingivitis may cause the gums to retract and reveal the roots of your teeth.
3. Constantly grinding your teeth can cause the enamel to break down, which leads to exposure of the dentin.
4. Accumulation of plaque can cause sensitive teeth.
5. Various acidic foods such as lemon cause the enamel to be worn out.
6. Sensitive teeth are caused by decay of the tooth.
7. Various dental procedures such as teeth restoration and cleaning of the teeth cause the teeth to be sensitive.

Treatments for sensitive teeth:

1. You need to use dental products that contain fluoride. Fluoride products tend to decrease teeth sensitivity.
2. Restrict consumption of acidic foods such as lemon and some dairy products.
3. If you grind your teeth then start using mouth guard.
4. Follow proper dental hygiene, such as brushing and flossing on a regular basis to keep teeth sensitivity at bay.
5. You should use a toothbrush that has soft bristles so that the gum tissue is not affected while brushing.
6. You may use a toothpaste that has been made for people who have sensitive teeth.
7. You may apply fluoride varnishes to root surfaces that have been exposed.
8. You may cover uproot surfaces with white fillings.
9. Application of dentin sealers to root surfaces that have been exposed may help in preventing tooth sensitivity.
10. Laser is also effective to fix tooth sensitivity.

Hi, how are you? I have gone through your complaint. The best solution for cleft lip and cleft palate is surgery only. Do not think about post operative minor drawbacks. It will be better to have operation get done by expert plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

There is a gap between in my tooth and gum and Dr. Has suggested me the oflox oz medicine. Is it safe?

If the gap is because of gingivitis or swollen gums then antibiotic is prescribed. However scaling is a must. You can also opt for gingivectomy if it is severe.
