I am 31 year old male weighing 100 Kgs and Height 174 cms. I have no health issues except being overweight. Recently I had taken a general complete blood and urine checkup. Certain readings on my blood sample are not normal. E.g. Lipoprotein (a: 43 mg/dL Cholesterol (hdl: 55.2 Cholesterol (ldl: 125 Lipoprotein (a: 43 GGT: 68.8 Homocysteine: 25.3 Hs-CRP - 9.41 Vitamin B12: 147 25 Hydroxyvitamin D: 20.5 Please advice in regards to my report. Your help is highly appreciated in advance.

Hi lybrate-user, looks like your'e having low testosterone and high estrogen levels, you may have to get a few tests done for this and get a targeted plan. General recommendations would be to reduce sugar intake. It will greatly accelerate your fat loss.

Fat loss is a gradual process. There is no quick fix approach. Following a healthy diet which has optimal amounts of first class proteins (dairy, egg, chicken etc) reduced carbohydrates (white rice, poha etc) & healthy fats (almonds, walnuts etc) along with a structured exercise program that is balanced with weight training and cardio will surely help. You cannot target specific areas, fat is lost uniformly, but it may appear to go faster from the areas where you store less than the problem areas. Be consistent and patient. I want to know that to loose weight what is more important to burn more calories or to walk extra kilometers. For example yesterday I walked 3.25 km and burned 164 calories but today I walk 3 km and burn 192calories.

My weight is on increasing these days I am trying my best to reduce it but still it is not getting control.
If you make necessary dietary changes and combine it with 45 mins to 1 hour play / exercise you can easily weight. You are young right now, so focus on physical activity. More so you have borderline weight and need to shed 6 to 7 kgs which would need patience. You need to correct your diet wherever it’s going wrong. Focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Avoid simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc If you need us to help you with proper customised Diet plans for weight loss, you can opt for our online program or contact us through Lybrate' private consult'
