Prevention of heart Disease 1.Avoid stress, anxiety, physical and mental strain 2. Reduce your weight if over weight, control Bp, control cholesterol, check for diabetes 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Link Between Heart Diseases and High Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is the measure of the resistance to the natural flow of blood in the blood vessels. The major, minor and few smaller blood vessels themselves have a thin muscular lining that keeps the vessel supple and aids the flow of nutritious blood within its tube-like structure. The vessel walls resist the free flow causing a reverse pressure that is referred to as Blood Pressure. This pressure strains the heart muscles (Left Ventricle more) to contract strongly to push the nutritious blood into the body circulation system.

Due to numerous factors, there is an increase of resistance within the blood vessels that leads to an increase in blood pressure. At a later stage, this results in lack of adequate blood flow to the end tissues and an accumulation of fluids in the various tissues/organs and a mismanagement of the nutrition-detoxification rhythmic cycle of the body. This takes a long time to develop and unless the last stage hampers body functions, it is not detected. Hence, blood pressure is known as a silent disease.

Systolic and diastolic are the two rhythms corresponding to the expansion and contraction of the heart chambers during pumping of blood into the body. This rhythm creates two distinct pressures within the blood vessels. Systolic is when the heart ventricular chamber contract to pump blood into the body, so the pressure is higher. This indicated the force or strain on the heart to push blood into the circulatory system. Hence, this count is considered significant in evaluating health parameters.

High BP as a disease is declared when three or more readings taken at different times of a day or on consecutive days shows increase in BP. Higher the BP, more strain is exerted by the heart. Since the heart is essentially a muscular organ, the muscles of the heart get affected. Sometimes, the heart muscles increase in mass and size making the heart chambers smaller in volume. This further deteriorates the circulation capability leading to numerous diseases. The strain of pumping nutrition to different body organs is also felt by the heart itself. Lack of nutrition can lead to death of cardiac tissue leading to heart failure. High blood pressure makes the heart walls thicken and becomes stiffer which makes it even more difficult to pump blood. Thickening of the heart muscles is also known as left ventricular hypertrophy and cause heart failure.

A systolic blood pressure reading that is higher than 140 mm Hg or a diastolic blood pressure higher than 90 mm Hg characterizes by high blood pressure. High blood pressure is said to be responsible for 50% of the recorded cases of ischemic strokes and also increases the risk of hemorrhagic strokes.

When heart cannot pump with enough force, there is a mismanagement in the intra-cellular and tissue fluid restoration. This puts a great strain on the kidney function. In due course of time, numerous organs of the body suffer and depending on the body constitution, immunity for rejuvenation and restoration of order, the person suffer from numerous diseases.

Diabetes worsens the situation of BP and adds to the deterioration of heart health, blood vessel health. Poor heart functioning leads to different symptoms like:

  1. Shortness of breath
  2. Swollen ankles or feet
  3. Difficulty lying flat on your back
  4. Bloating and nausea
  5. Irregular pulse
  6. Frequent urge to urinate at night
  7. Fatigue

Due to disturbances in BP and other factors leading to lacking of nutrition to the heart tissue. Heart Disease complications are commonly seen with symptoms as follows:

Radiating or dull pain, especially in the chest, radiating in the arms, especially left arm, neck, back and in the stomach especially in women.

  1. Shortness of breath; change in breathing patterns and heaviness in chest
  2. Dizziness and fainting sometimes
  3. Irregular pulse and palpitations
  4. Sudden onset of excessive sweating
  5. Unexplained fatigue, weakness and depression

Can anyone get a heart blockage because continuous shouting on anyone everyday and getting tensed+ irritated. She is having pain in chest when she shouts. She is taking thyroid medicine.

Continuous shouting +tensed + irritation are all signs that indicate person is under constant anxiety. These alone doesn't cause heart blockage but yes these are the contributing factors of all kind of life style diseases. Please avoid unnecessary stress, do excercise regularly, meditate. Sir, i am 50 years old, i have b. P used tabs metxl-50, telma-40 since 18 months, i suffered every day my head will thikked, suffering vomit sensation and left side chest small pain will come. I have gastric problem no medicine used pl tell solve my problem.

I am suffering from sugar suggested me some better meal for daily routine and exercise as soon as possible and I hsve blood pressure also for bp I take less amount of salt.

Hello sir. As you did not mentioned the blood sugar value & blood pressure. For blood sugar have 1 full spoon turmeric and 1 full spoon amalaki (gooseberry) choorna paste (add some water) at early morning on empty stomach daily. Drink coconut shell boiled water. For blood pressure reduce salt, deep fried, tinned food items. Drink milk boiled with crushed garlic (5-6 in no) empty stomach early morning, consult with an ayurvedic physician for the same.

Sir sometimes I feel heart pain when I sleep flat or during sitting what does it mean as like my heart is touching to my chest I feel. From last 6-7 year I am suffering from high bp. Diabetic and having thyroid as well. For that I am taking one tablet of ziblok 50 for bp, glimy-1 for sugar and thyroxin50 for thioride, by using this my health is under controll, I want substitute for above in ayurveda. From last three month I have not taken zeblok 50 but my bp is controlled, I am now taking dibicon in place of glimy-1 but iot doesn't work and my sugar level raised to 120-200 kindly advice.

If you are consuming your cooking oil in form of refined oil immediately stop consuming it and switch to sarso oil or cow ghee secondly make sure that the patient is walking at least 60 minutes in morning and after the walk of 60 minutes do 30 minutes yoga regularly if you want a healthy lifestyle otherwise the complications will only increase. Do not consume excess of salt and make sure that the salt which you are consuming is not iodized salt, only consume rock salt which is also known as sendha namak. For making your heart healthy give patient 300 millilitres of bottle gourd juice everyday you can also add 2 tablespoon ginger 2 tablespoon coriander 2 tablespoon shyam tulsi and 2 tablespoon mint juice in it, if given this juice after 60 minutes of walj regularly for 3 months then I take guarantee the patient will never have any heart problem for the next 30 years for more details and better treatment consult me privately.

Iam (27) my health problem is basically I am an anxious and tense guy from childhood now when ever I am feeling tense or anxious my bp levels are fluctuating like 110/60 or 100/60 like that, I am suffering from ocd from 2103 taken nexito plus tabs for 4 months and got rashes on foot and discontinued them please advice me what to do now whether to take them or to take salt contents high diet .please answer to my query.

Dear Lybrateuser, - If you reduce your weight by diet & exercise then your BP will proportionately reduce by few points - have more of fibrous foods, fruits, vegetables including green leafy ones, whole grains, legumes, lentils, low fat dairy, lean meats, nuts - avoid fried, processed & junk foods, restrict intake of salt, also restrict intake of tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day - do regular exercise walking for 30-40 min, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily morning - take medication on time as prescribed & get BP measured regularly.

How can I reduce my cholesterol level? My cholesterol is 209, direct LDL cholesterol is 143, CHDL/HDL is 4.6, LDL/HDL ratio is 3.2, non-HDL cholesterol is 164 and triglycerides is 130.

To reduce cholesterol in body: * avoid butter, ghee & cream in your diet. * eat five leaves of kari patta and five leaves of neem once in a day. * avoid non veg (chicken, fish) food because it contain high fat content. * do running and jogging daily for 15 minutes. Do morning and evening walk daily. * do not drink alcohol it harmful to your liver and disturb your metabolism causes increase in cholesterol. * add kali mirch (black pepper) in your breakfast. * drink 6 to 7 glass of water daily. * take sound sleep in night of 6 to 7 hrs. Is gerd curable maybe I injured my osphageous while inhaling a tablet it caused pain near my mid chest left side bone twice but it was 3 months ago while I was not facing chest burn but after one month I M getting continues chest burn n pain like feeling I don't feel nauseous only my chest burns is it gerd or something related to my osphageous n is it curable with meds.

Dear lybrateuser, - Yes, gerd is curable with proper medication & following dietary precautions - follow some dietary precautions, do not skip meals, have meals on time, chew your food well, have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals, do not lye down for at least 1-2 hrs after meals, raise the pillow end 4-6 inches at night while sleeping, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime - take tablet Pan D, 1 tab half an hour before breakfast - have 7-8 glasses of water for proper digestion - if not much improvement then you may require investigations, consult a doctor.
