Hepatic encephalopathy is a symptom that occurs as a result of a liver disease. Under this particular disorder there is a decrease in the brain activity and function. There are two categories of this disorder namely acute and chronic, out of which acute is a short term condition and chronic is a repetitive and long lasting one. The most common symptoms are: concentration issues, personality alterations, thinking hindrances, confusion, forgetfulness, poor judgement abilities and such others. This condition also stops the liver from filtering toxins from the blood.
