You can repeat USG after 10 days, and if you see a viable pregnancy then, it is ok. According to your wife's LMP it corresponds to 8 wks pregnancy as of today but USG growth does not correspond. Sometimes late conception can occur, but your second USG should clear your doubts.

Nipah - A Virus With No Vaccine & 75% Mortality Rate!

MBBS
General Physician, Fatehabad
Nipah - A Virus With No Vaccine & 75% Mortality Rate!

The Nipah virus may be little known, but scores extremely high when it comes to risk. The virus was first reported in Malaysia in 1998 and is no stranger to India. Indeed, it has struck India and Bangladesh multiple times since, leaving behind a toll count of nearly 280 infections and 211 deaths. And now, it’s back!

Nipah virus has already claimed over 9 lives in Kerala in past one month. Three people have tested positive for the virus over the past two weeks. And over 25 victims carrying its symptoms have been hospitalized.

Here’s what you should know about the Nipah menace.

  • Indications of a possible infection are fever and respiratory trouble and confusion. Flu-like symptoms have also been witnessed in some cases. The severity is too high and can progress to a state of coma.
  • Incidentally, this is a virus that can re-activate itself inside the patient’s body months or even years after the first strike. In such cases, the host can develop lasting health conditions such as stubborn convulsions and personality changes.
  • The way to stay out of harm’s way is to avoid exposure to infected animals, such as pigs and bats, and not consuming raw date palm sap.
  • Transmission of the virus to humans takes place via direct contact with infected bats, infected pigs, from other NiV infected people and by consuming food which is either infected or has come in contact with animals which are infected.

Symptoms of Nipah Virus:

The incubation period for the symptoms to develop for this virus is from 5 to 14 days and once the diagnosis is done the treatment must be given immediately. The Nipah virus can lead to the following in patients
Severe Lung condition
Asymptomatic infection
Inflammation of brain tissues

Preventive measures:

  • Stay away from people who are already infected with Nipah virus or NiV
  • In case, you have to touch the person then make sure you wash your hands from time to time.
  • Utensils, clothes or any other items used by the person infected with the virus should be kept separately.
  • If you are transporting the body of a person who has died of this virus, then make sure to cover your face, especially the nose.

Treatment for Nipah Virus:

No vaccination or medicine is available for treating people or animals with Nipah virus. The only treatment available is intensive supportive care. So visit a hospital as soon as you see the symptoms.

Not surprisingly, the Nipah virus ranks in the list of Top 10 priority diseases that the World Health Organization (WHO) has earmarked as possible candidates for the next major outbreak. Though treatment is currently limited care, efforts are on by the government and the medical community to develop preventive measures to combat the spread of the Nipah virus.

It's not necessary to have withdrawal bleeding after ipill intake ,wait till your period date ,if you miss your periods then do a urine pregnancy test.

Depends on type of cysts that you have. Simple cyst you can wait for three months. But if endometriosis or dermoid then you should go for laparoscopy so that cyst can be removed and you can go ahead for pregnancy treatment fast.

Start Eating more veggies and fruits avoid smoking, Reduce alcohol intake. Try ‘edging’: When you are almost there (during intercourse or masturbation), stop all sexual activity. Distract yourself for a bit. This way you can gain better control and extend sex time. Eat a handful of strawberries before intercourse. Its high zinc content and glucose concentration can help you last longer. Or Eating a banana just before sex could help improve your performance as it contains potassium. It also has a large amount of glucose that can help you last longer. You can also take ayurvedic medicine. Makkar dhwaj vati 2-2 tab twice a day.

If you want to lighten your complexion, there are natural remedies that you can try to brighten your skin a few shades. Since many commercial creams are ineffective or unhealthy to use, turning to natural methods to get fairer skin is a smart choice. A common household ingredient — lemon juice — works especially well to lighten skin tone. Staying out of the sun and using natural facial masks will also keep your skin from getting darker. Protect yourself from the sun. Most of the normal darkening and discoloration of your skin is caused by exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. If you're extremely concerned about having fairer skin, staying indoors will keep your skin as light as possible. When that's not possible, protect your skin use SPF sunblock with a minimum SPF of 30. Most dermatologists agree an SPF 15 is not sufficient anymore. Dangerous UVA and UVB rays are still reaching your skin. You want 98% or more of the sun's rays to be blocked. Wear a hat to protect your face when you're outside. Especially in the summer. There are so many fashionable hats these days, you can also be a trend-setter while you are protecting your skin. Exfoliate your skin a few times a week. Doing manual exfoliation can really help to lighten the skin, since the process takes off dead skin cells. Keep in mind that exfoliation only helps if your current skin is darker than your normal skin tone, because it reveals fresh skin that is untouched by the sun. You can exfoliate your skin manually by using a body scrub or face wash with exfoliating particles. To make your own, just add a teaspoon of ground almonds or oatmeal to your regular cleanser. Using a scrub brush or a dry brush is a great way to exfoliate your entire body. For your face, use a special brush with softer bristles so you don't damage the fragile skin there. Keeping your skin healthy by protecting it from the sun, exfoliating and using natural lightening methods is your best bet for keeping it on the lighter side in tone. Remember that consistency is the key, and do your facial treatments several times a week. For medication consult online in private.

You need laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery to open your tubes. And if hydrosalpynx is severe then usually tubes r so badly damaged that it has to be removed too. So that depends on the film of HSG and finding during surgery. Do not waste your time for conservative management. Discuss with your doctor in detail.
