Hi Manzoor There is very simple and easy to follow diet plan with which you can lose 2-5kg in just 15days. This plan can be done by you easily. For Breakfast you take 150g curd, 30g Lipolyzer powder, 10g milk cream, 25g roasted flax seed, 100g any fruit, mix them all together in a bowl. Lunch – 2 Chapatti made with Nutroactive Brown Atta, 150g cooked vegetables, 150g green salads like cucumber and tomato. Dinner – 200g any cooked vegetable or vegetable soup only. Follow this diet plan exactly as said; you will surely lose few kilos immediately.

Microwave rays are not death threatened. But better to avoid prolonged exposure to microwave. Regarding bird flue if you take proper precautions against it then there should not be any problem. Good thing you do yoga. And you can do weight lifting also but do it gradually without any jerky movement. And prolonged. Go for morning walk followed by free hand exercises. Have plenty of water by mouth.

Actually from childhood approx frm 6th standard I hv been gaining its been so mny times tht I hv got my thyroid bt reports are always negative nd I hv lost the weight also in 2013 my weight ws 85 thn I got to get it to 73 bt nw tht frm lst years I hv gained weight nd it is 90 kgs now nd my age is 19. Is thr any way so tht weight once losses cnt be gained again pls help I am vry worried also pls can you tell me some good medication regarding weight loss bcz frm tommorow I am joining aerobics classes.

Obesity mainly due to lack of physical activity or improper diet stress, hormonal imbalance, sleeping in day etc. First find reason of your fattiness & avoid it, avoid excess eating do exercise regularly avoid non-vege, sweets, oily food, also avoid vegetable ghee. Eat 5gm paneer before exercise it increases fat metabolism rate. Take some ayurvedic medicines tab. Navak guggula 2tabs before each food.

Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Hye. Thank you for your query. The reason you are not losing fats is because you are on a restricted diet. Diet is not about not eating but hour eating sensibly. Firstly it is important to understand that weight /fat loss involves sensible eating. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals.     Reduce your main meals by a small amount. Take a glass of lime water 10 minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed.                        Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing.     It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips.

Whenever I ask any MBBS doctor about paranayam or patanjali product they try to avoid it or give negative opinion?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query. First and foremost it is wrong to say that all allopathic more appropriately modern medicine practicing doctors are against Baba Ramdev. Patanjali products I am sure are very good. However, what is objected is claims made about with those (some of the products) almost every disease can be cured. For example some Ayurvedic products claim diabetes can be cured. But that does not happen. I treat a number of patients at my clinic and online also. Some of the patients who say they have shifted to only Ayurvedic drugs for diabetes come back with blood glucose levels of 250 to 400 mg. As regards the research, particularly for any drug to be claimed as effective there have to be clinical trials that too double blind and cross over studies. None of the Ayurvedic products including those of Patanjali's have done such studies. They only sight their old scriptures. In India alone there are close to 7 crore diabetic patients. I have not come across a single case which has been cured by these products. As regards yogasanas and pranayam, these are really good for every ine for maintaining good health. I myself advocate Pranayam to many of my patients particularly those who have repiratory allegy, and even bronchial asthma. Yogasanas, help in mentaining healthy body. Some studies have shown beneficial effects even in cardiac conditions. I myself practice pranayam. Most objections are for some unsubstantiated tall claims. India is too big a country, for any one to affect others business. Thanks.

Laziness - How it Hampers Your Growth?

You are often made the topic of all conversations and jokes in your friend circle, if you are lazy. At times, it is just brushed off by laughing. However, in reality being lazy is not a good sign at all. It hampers the growth and development of a person. Laziness is accompanied by lethargy, sleepiness and not wanting to perform any work. This might not only provide less exercise to the brain, but may also adversely affect your body mentally and physically. Ayurveda offers a great scope of medical practice, which can help you out of your lazy personality.

Here, are some of the ways in which ayurveda can help you lead a normal and healthy lifestyle.

  1. Practice yoga: Yoga helps in calming your senses and rejuvenating your soul. It helps in increasing stamina and concentration so that you can go about doing your daily chores without any hindrance. In case, you do not want to practice full-fledged yoga, following only pranayama can also help.
  2. Ashwagandha and gooseberry capsules: At times, laziness is experienced right after delivery of a child. During that phase, the health of the mother needs to be carefully monitored. Hence, to reduce lethargy, ashwagandha and gooseberry or amla capsules are consumed. Both have medicinal properties and are stable ingredients.
  3. Sleep: Ayurveda focuses a lot on the sleep patterns of an individual. It is said that you need to get the adequate amount of sleep to be able to have the energy to work the next day. Sleeping on time and getting up in the morning with at least six to seven hours of sleep is necessary for an adult. Furthermore, your sleep patterns including whether or not you sleep in the afternoons, help you in combating with laziness.
  4. Tea: Ayurveda focuses that lethargy can be due to negative vibes in your body. Thus, everyday you need to consume green tea ginger tea, or lemon tea in order to get rid of the tiredness in your body.

Thus, these are some of the best ways in which Ayurveda can help you get back to shape and have sound mental health, leaving laziness far behind. If you follow these rules in your daily life, then your body would be able to develop and grow properly with all the nutrition and environment that it needs for development. Follow the following tips:- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal.  · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake : Increase your protein intake e.g. milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts ( soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad.  · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

You need yo consume low calorie but nutrient dense food. Increase your fibre consumption. Take small meals in frequent intervals. Drink plenty of water. Drink water 1 hr after meal. Increase your fruit intake. Chew food properly before swallowing. Have a positive attitude towards life. Reduce stress and have sleep of 8hrs in a whole day. Avoid smoking, tobacco, alcohol, junk foods, soft drinks, sweet dates, sapota, sugarcane.

Hello Doctor, My 9 months old kid is vomiting frequently. So I want to know how much time gap should I give between each meal and how much quantity should I give. Daily I am following below schedule for my kid . For vomiting chew jeera half tea spoon, vomiting will stop immediately, fruit timing and menu is good but I would suggest fruits shud b given in morning, morning is he best time fr fruits. If he is vomiting I would like to know the ingredients you are using in your recipes, may b something is there he is eating wch he shud not, I don't know but if you are giving him milk in morning. Immediately stop it, milk had to b consumed in evening or night only.

Exercises To Improve Your Flexibility!

Stretching is very important for your well-being. Not only does it help you become more agile and flexible, it helps you become better at sports and also makes sure that you have fewer injuries when you are playing sports. Here are some exercises, which are guaranteed to make sure that your flexibility will improve:

1. The runner's stretch
In this stretch, put your right foot forward and then try to touch the floor with your fingertips. If your fingers do not reach the floor, place them as far down as possible. You have to then inhale, and go back to your starting position.

2. The standing side stretch
This stretch starts when you are standing straight upwards with your arms raised above your head and your fingers interlocked. When you breathe out you have to slowly bend your upper body to the right then return to the starting position. After you have reached the starting position, you inhale again and after you have inhaled, you have to stretch your upper body to the left.

3. The forward hang
In this stretch, your starting position is when you stand with your legs apart and then you lock your fingers together and place them behind your back. Once this is done, you breathe in. After breathing in, you have to exhale by bending forward and keeping your hands interlocked above your head. You have to hold this position for 5 seconds.

4. The low lunge arch
This stretch involves bringing your right leg as forward as possible and then lowering your left knee onto the floor. You then have to lock your hands together with your palms facing the floor and your hands in front of your body. You then have to inhale for the stretch. The stretch involves lifting your arms as far up as possible and then stretching as far back as possible keeping your legs in the position they were already in. Once you have finished this exercise, you have to do the exact same thing with the left leg in front. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Physiotherapist.

Dear lybrate-user, as you said, you are weak, do some regular excercises in the early morning, take rest properly, avoid sleeping in day time, spend time with friends, nothing but weakness. You can have b-complex tablets twice a day.

No foods contains direct cholesterol. It's depend on your digestion power and metabolism power, which is called agni in ayurveda. Take according to your hunger keep excersice do blood report after 6 month. For precaution.

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). If you have any disease like asthma /diabetes / hypertension, then get complete treatment of them. * avoid all fast foods and habit of smoking or drinking. You surely get great strength and recover from weakness by following these important things.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user Gaining 35kgs is a way too high in past 4 years.. Weight gain is mainly associated with wrong eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle if there are no clinical conditions.. Follow sum simple guidelines >> ■ drink 2 glasses lukewarm water with lemon on an empty stomach. ■have good quality healthy breakfast.. ■ mid morning snack can be any single fruit. ■ again for the lunch you can much on raw salads n vegetable sabzi of your choice (cooked in less oil) with roti. ■ evening snack can be your herbal tea with roasted chana. ■ dinner should be as light as possible (means low calorie) so you can have soups or some kind of chaana chaat or so. See to it that you always have home cooked meals. Limit the portion size of your meals. Avoid fried, junk, sweets. Exercise at least 50mins a day (as per your age a brisk walk is recommended) Also get your TSH levels checked.
