It can help in weight loss. You can also try having green tea at night mixed with honey and lemon on a regular basis for that. It will take time to show results but it sure helps.

I drink 2 ltrs of water have 4 cups of green tea every day ,walk a bot, but I still do not loose even an ounce of weight! please help as I am obese and have 7 dislocations in my spine due to which I cannot bend or do exercises.

For weight loss you have to consume fewer calories than your daily requirement. By just drinking green tea will not help you to reduce weight. Green tea is good, it is reach source of anti oxident but it is not a cure for obesity. Diet is only ans for your probleme. G. If you are doing 1 hour brisk walk you will burn 250 k cal but single package of chips contain k cal. So to decrease weight you require individual diet and exercise schedule. Consult me privately.

Hi lybrate-user you need to start eating high protein and good quality fat. Include lots of paneer, whole pulses, soya, dals, curds and milk. If you are non vegetarian include eggs, chicken and fish thrice in a week. Start exercising which helps you increase bmr and hunger.

How to reduce the belly fat easily and fastly and what can I do for remove the fat from the face.
Hello, Doing exercises regularly will not only cut down your belly fat, but also you will get a body in good shape and you will be get rid of many diseases related to it! Following exercises will help you to achieve this if you don’t have any other medical condition: 1. The Plank - Lie down on your tummy and then come on your palms and toes. Lift the knees off the floor. Draw your tummy muscles up and breathe deeply into the side and back of the rib cage. Aim to hold the pose for 30 seconds. 2. Static Tiger pose - Place your hands and knees on the floor. This is the starting position. Now lift up one leg and extend the opposite arm. Hold this Static Tiger Pose for 3 deep breaths. Come back to the starting position and swap sides, extending arm and opposite leg. You can look down towards the mat to keep the spine in line. This exercise will build core strength. 3. Sitting Spinal Twist - Sit on the floor and cross your legs. Place one hand next to your hip and the other on the knee. Rotate the spine and look over one shoulder into a Sitting Spinal Twist. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. Swap sides, rotating and looking over the shoulder. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. 4. Stomach Crunches - Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands on your thighs, across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your knees until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 stomach crunches. 5. Oblique Crunch - Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Roll your knees to one side down to the floor. Place your hands across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your hips until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 oblique crunches and repeat on the opposite side. Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best! For facial fat: Here are few facial exercises to get chubby cheeks: 1. Sit tall. Sit in a chair with your back straight. Pull down the shoulder blades and relax your shoulders overall, making sure that there is as little tension as possible in that area of your body. Your chest should be outward and open. Open your mouth lightly. Imagine that you are carrying a normal conversation with someone at low to moderate volume. Open your mouth to the position you might usually have during such conversations. At this point, you must also curl both your lower and upper lip inward so that they cover your front row of teeth. Simultaneously, you should pull the corners of your mouth back, bringing them as close to the molar teeth as possible. Both corners should be pulled back in the same direction and to the same level or vertical position of your face. Your chin should move forward slightly, as well. Hold the face you have just made for a full 90 seconds. You should feel the muscles in your cheeks and mouth stretch. Release slowly to a normal resting face when done. 2. Work gently, making little pinches up and down both cheekbones. Small pinches likes this may not make your cheeks plumper, but this practice can give your skin a naturally blush, making your cheeks look brighter as a result. Brighter cheeks look plumper to the naked eye than pale ones do. 3. Take in a big breath and tightly close your lips as you puff up your cheeks, in a pose similar to that of a horn player. Hold the air in for five seconds and release. Repeat 10 times. 4. Pucker your lips into a fish face and then smile while holding the lips in place. Hold for five seconds and release. Repeat 10 times. 5. Resistance can help to activate the muscles on your face as it does on your body. Press an index finger lightly into each cheek for resistance; smile as you open your mouth and drop your chin down. Hold for one count and release; repeat 20 times. Apart for all these, use a facial lotion or moisturizing cream on your cheeks after every shower and every time you wash your face. Let it dry naturally and do not rinse it off.

Daily morning surya namaskar 10 times before 8am. Drink fruit juices in morning (if possible have fresh fruit juices). Do not remain hungry at all. Keep eating at least 2 biscuits at 2 hours of intervals. Drink more and more water. And join swimming, which best for exercise of each and every muscles of our body. Try this for 1 month. You will definitely be helped by these steps which will make you energetic.

HI Lybrate USER, 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods, 2) sleep upto 10-10.30 pm, 3) avoid coffee and tea, A) Eat 30-40 black currants and 1 tsf of jiggery during meals, B) Take 200 ml of fresh butter milk with pinch of saindhav lavan after meals, C) take 30 ml of aamla juice along with 15 ml of honey in morning on empty stomach, D) take fresh juice of beet or pomegranate in morning instead of breakfast…do all these things for 15 days…gives you good result…THANKS.

What should be a diet-chart for a diabitic patient?

General guidelines: Early morning: one teaspoon of methi seeds soaked overnight in 100 ml of water is very effective in controlling diabetes. Or drink tomato juice with salt and pepper every morning on an empty stomach. Intake of 6 almonds (soaked overnight) is also helpful in keeping a check on diabetes. Breakfast: whole grains, oats, millet with high fiber vegetable/salad mid morning; apple/organe 100 gm lunch: salad 15 min before lunch dal, phulka, vgetable curry/veg soup/buttermilk evening tea/green tea/lime tea +2 fiber biscuits /roasted chana mid evening salad of mix vegetable and sprouts an hour before dinner dinner phluka 2, lauki veg, curd bed time skim milk with diet an hour of exercise is a must. And keep sipping water.

I am 36 male I have diabetes since 12 years. Since 2 months my diabetes is not in control today my fasting sugar was 250. I take triglimet v Forte twice a day. In afternoon I take under 5 mg. And in night in take lantus 30 units but still my sugar is not in control. I do not take any sweets or tea or coffee. I eat rice only in afternoon. Please advise.

Mr. lybrate-user, One of the main reasons for uncontrolled glucose level is your excess body weight. You have grade 3 obesity with a BMI of 40.83 kgs/M2, Your ideal body weight should be 55 kgs. There is an excess of 43 kgs. Unless you make a special effort to cut weight, it is very difficult to gain desired blood glucose control. There has to be a very strict control on food intake (reduced calories) plus good deal of exercise a day of at least 1 hour. Thanks.

Hi to increase weight you need to have calorie rich meals well placed throughout the day to form 4-5 meals a day. Foods like milk and milk products, nuts, eggs, ghee based home made sweets, pulses.

Dear sir, Please add Jou or barley flour in your diet. Roast this flour and mix 1/4th of it in normal wheat flour. Perpare chapaties wit it and Eat it daily. Eat more of fiber containing food like green leafy vegies, more of fresh seasonal fruits, drink less water with meals instead take sips of water while eating food and don't drink before and after. Sit in Vajra asan after meals or walk 100 steps. Chew 4-5 curry patta daily or you can have it with your vegetables. Do this for some time & you will feel the difference. Hi Rajeev. A good course of antibiotics will help along with applications of antibiotic cream at the area. I can understand, it must be pretty painful for her. Just get her a treated soon. Meanwhile applying cool ice packs to the area will give some relief.

Elevated uric acid levels cause gouty arthritis.

How to Lower Uric Acid Levels Naturally?

More and more gout sufferers are moving away from costly drug-based remedies with their nasty side effects, to more natural remedies. Here are 3 simple tips on how to lower uric acid levels in the blood naturally:

(1) Drink between 2 and 3 liters of water everyday. Drink small amounts regularly throughout the day. Water helps the kidneys to process and flush uric acid out of the body.

(2) Consume a baking soda solution to help dissolve uric acid crystals, and, increase uric acid solubility. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to 8 oz of water. Mix thoroughly, and drink maximum 8 glasses daily. One before bedtime, one when you get up in the morning, and one every 2 to 4 hours between meals. Repeat until the symptoms have gone.

Note: Since baking soda is high in sodium, change to a salt-free diet whilst taking this remedy. And, if you suffer from high blood pressure, although you can take it as long as you monitor your blood pressure closely, it’s better not to use this remedy at all.

(3) Change to a low purine diet. Since uric acid comes from the breakdown of purines, and, purines also exist in our foods, a gout sufferer needs to go onto a diet that is relatively low in purines. This also means avoiding high purine foods completely. The general types of food to avoid are fatty red meats, poultry and some seafood. And, it’s important to avoid alcohol. Beer, in particular, is a trigger for gout. The types of foods that make up a low purine diet are things like; essential fatty acids(e.g. tuna, salmon, etc.), low fat dairy products, complex carbohydrates (e.g. bread, cereal, pasta, rice, vegetables, fruit, etc.), fruits such as cherries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, etc.
