Hi Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your interest! Yes. Beet juice refers to beet root juice. The red pigment contains excess of antioxidants that helps to prevent against inflammation. Other foods rich in antioxidants are dark coloured fruits and vegetables - red cabbage, berries include strawberries, goose berries (amla), cherries, plums, red, green and yellow capsicums. Nuts like almonds, walnuts, pecans, peanuts contain omega 3 fatty acids that acts as antioxidants. You can consume 4-5 almonds everyday. It helps to meet your omega 3 needs.

Sir I gave a baby birth in Feb month and it was a second caesarian. I have a big tummy and full of fat in my stomach....
It will take some effort for you to flatten your tummy. I am outlining a 21 day plan for you. If you follow this plan sincerely then you will see a noticeable difference in just 21 days. There are 5 things that you need to do: 1. Eliminate all refined sugars from your diet. This means no sugar in your tea/coffee/milk, no consumption of sugary beverages like coke, pepsi and total elimination of all snacks like biscuits, cakes, sweet dishes. I know it is difficult but remember that you just have to adhere to this for 21 days. If you wish to snack you can have unsalted peanuts, dry fruits, seeds or yogurt. 2. When you get up in the morning, put your pillow aside and lie with your back straight. Put both your legs together and lift them so your legs are at a 30 degree angle with the bed. Maintain this pose of 5 minutes. Keep breathing while your legs are in the air. 3. Eliminate dinner altogether. In place of dinner have a bowl of papaya. You can have a small bowl of yogurt with black salt if you are not able to control your urge. 4. Keep hydrated through out the day. You need to drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. Tea/coffee are not substitutes of water. Minimize consumption of milk. Add raw vegetables to each meal. 5. One 500mg tablet of calcium d-glucarate and one tablet of b-complex every day. If you miss even one of the steps mentioned above during your 21 day regime then you have to start all over again from day 1. Please bear in mind that it takes 21 consecutive days of performing all the above mentioned steps for the stomach muscles to start toning up.

You can go for good easily digestible protein powders in the market. This should ideally meet half of your protein requirement. Supplements that provide essential proteins of about 10 to 15 g per serving should be your goal.

To reduce weight change food habites. Avoid too oily end ghee prepretions, fast, spacy, junck foods. Take simpale veg home made food with salad. In lunch take 3 chapati green vegitabale, one katory dal. End evening cup of less sugar tea with mairry gold 3 biscuties. Avoid tea in office take less sugar tea once only. Stop all types of liquied sweets, tea, coffi cold drinks fruite juices. Take fruites some times. Do arobic excersices, yoga, fast walking morning or evening as per your times. In office after 2 hours gets up walk in office few minuties than start work again. In night take dinner with 2 chapti end vegitabale with salad. You mention that taking only lunch in night also take end go for walkig slowly 1 to 2 km daily.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning. Go for swimming, gardening, jogging, running, skipping. Take 1 glass lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals.

Your first target should be to decrease your weight by 5 Kg to 90 Kg in 2 months and for that I will provide you below given guidelines in form of Diet, and Medicines and daily routine Our Daily energy requirements for proper functioning of our body is 1600-2200 K cal of Energy if we want to remain fit and healthy. But there is a misconception that weight is reduced by dieting. But weight is not reduced by only skipping our meals or prohibition from sugars but until we are not aware what are our body's energy requirements, it will be difficult to loose weight. A balanced diet is a diet that has sufficient amounts of all components of food like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins & minerals with water. A healthy diet includes all these components of food without overloading oneself with just one component. Inclusion of dals, rice, milk, veggies, fruits & various oils in a balanced way will serve as a balanced diet.

Hi doctor. I am 47 yr old. Since last 15 years i have diabetics.At present i am taking insulin lantus 36 unit per day +janumet 50/1000 mg (1-0-1)+invokhana 100 mg(1-0-0 ) dimcron 60 mg (0-1-0) along with micardis 80 mg (0-0-1) and tulip 10 mg (0-0-!) . Now my diabetics under controll. Doctor my doubt is that all these medicines are high dose, and it can affect to my kidney ? is there any substitution

No doubt your dose is very high. Generaly antidiabetic medicines do not affect kidney. Rather control of diabetes protects kidney. You can switch to total insulin treatment and stop majority of the drugs.

Don't drink water before meals. This can fill your stomach and make it harder to get in enough calories. Eat more often. ... Drink milk. ... Try weight gainer shakes. ... Use bigger plates. ... Add cream to your coffee. ... Get quality sleep. u need to take a high protein high calorie diet

This is due accumulated fat on your thighs. Do baithaks. Start with 10 and increase to 50. Or go for jogging. Or for cycling.

I have filing tiredness. Before three month my total cholesterol is 268. And ldl is 208. Then I start the exercise and now total cholesterol is 218 and ldl is 140. And Hdl is 53. All other report are normal as like blood test, thyroid, sugar, echocardiography and tmt. But now l m filling tiredness. Please suggest what should I do.

Eat healthy foods small amount more frequently.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice,fast foods,junk foods.Eat plenty of whole fruits,vegetables.Use unprocessed foods.Eat fish,egg white,lentil,lean meat,mushroom,tofu,cottage cheese,soy milk,soybean,soy product.Use olive oil,canola,coconut oil,refined vegetable oil in small amount.Use nuts,seeds.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Drink lots of water.Do exercise like swimming,skipping,push ups,sit ups,plank,squat.These will help you.

Use Udad dal almost every day. Take Ashvagandha kshirpak with sunthi and cow ghee.200+ ml. Do pranayam and Suryanamaskar daily twice a day Be active whole time. Take proper sleep daily. No junk, spicy,non veg. food. Take dry fruits more.

Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight.* body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * for thighs - work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

I think you need to solve your worry / stress issues. That is the root cause of your weight loss. For a height of 5'4" your weight of 60 is ok. Try to eat healthy foods like almonds, coconut, cheese, paneer, peanuts etc. Drink full cream milk and take more proteins like eggs, beans, peas etc.
