Elevation of TSH can occur due to number of reasons. It could be because of inadequate Thyroids, due to Thyroiditis or due to increase in Thyroid antibodies. If you need guidance on your larticular case, geel free to schedule an online consult.

I prefer to treat hypothyroidism with compounded Thyroids containing T3 and T4 rsther than with Thyronorm which contains only T4. From your symptoms, I suspect that you may have autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's). A detailed evaluation followed by appropriate therapy is what you need.

I prefer to use compounded thyroids containing both T3 as well as T4. I strongly suspect that you have autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's) If you are happy with present treatment - no need to change.

The decision to go for TRT depends upon the clinical situation. One of the important considerations is the age of the patient. I would never recommend TRT without simultaneously optimizing other metabolic and hormonal imbalances. The treatment has to be holistic and customized to the individual. For my patients I prefer to use bioidentical testosterone skin cream for TRT.

I am 38 year old, I am taking medicine of thyroid from last 10 Yr, but from last 6 month my weight increased by 6 kg. I checked my thyroid its normal. Is there any other problem. Also have body pain in back neck.

Possibilities: 1. Thyroids are "normal" but not "optimal" 2 Thyroid receptor sensitivity has changed 3. You may be having Thyroid antibodies 4 Other metabolic paraneters have changed requiring Tbyroid dose adjustment. 5. Stress hormones may havae increased. 6. You may have developed Insulin resistance or preexisting resistance may have worsened. 7. Inflammatory markers have worsened Management of hypothyroidism needs a dynamic protocol. Depending on the case I would clinically review every 3 to 6 months.

My mother has thyroid problem since 2 yrs. She is 55 years old. Tsh is 150, t3 t4 very less according to normal range. What is the treatment method. Please explain in detail.

I suspect that your mother may be having Autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's). Additionally, considering her age she could be having permenopausal symptoms. For such cases, I would undertake a thorough assessment of the hormonal and metabolic imbalances and treat them appropriately. I would also screen for Thyrpid Antibodies. For a detailed explanation of the above, pertaining to your mother's case, I recommend that you take a private consult.

Hypothyroidism and PCOS are inimately related. In all cases of PCOS and Hypothyroidism I would undertake a detailed evaluation of the underlying metabolic and hormonal imbalances and systematically correct the same. Some Medical tabs can increase TSH levels.

Can hypothyroid and high blood pressure affects our breathing system and oxygen level.
Directly Hypothyroidism and Hypertension can affect "breathing system and oxygen level" in extreme cases. However, the underlying hormonal and metabolic imbalances to the above mentioned conditions can have such an effect. If the case is systematically analysed, one can identify these imbalances and treat them effectively.

I was diagnosed thyroid problem in 2009. Have been taking Thyronorm medicine dosage as advised by doctors from time to time regularly. However, my weight has gone down 9-10 kgs. During these years and I have lost all of my fat. I am underweight now (52 kg with a height of 162 cms). Unable to recover despite good diet, rest, active routine.

Thyronorm is unlikely to cause such a severe weight loss unless there is significant overdose. I suspect there may be other causes for weight loss for which you will need to be investigated.

Using Thyroid meds containing T3 can help control hairfall. These are called Compounded Thyroid/Armour Thyroid/ cytomel. Additionally, optimizing Vitamins and minerals will help.
