This month, menstrual flow of mine is less than compared to before what was the reason?
Menstrual bleeding lasting for 2-7 days is considered as normal. If they are coming irregular with scanty flow then you may be suffering from pcod problem, which can be diagnosed with ultrasound. Apart from pcod, thyroid disease also can be responsible for this.

How I prevent my hair fall?

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
How I prevent my hair fall?
Is your hair loss accompanied with greying of hair and have they become very thin? your hair needs a very high protein well-rounded diet. Hair and nails are the last organs to get nutrition in the body, hence only if all the organs get sufficient nutrition and proteins, only then the remaining nutrition would be used for hairs. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress, current/past dandruff and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hairgrowth and repair I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

I am 21 years old, I have some infection on the back side of my scalp due to lice. Wat shall I do now?

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Treatment is needed only if you see one or more live lice. Empty eggshells (nits) do not always mean that you are infested with lice. Nits can stick to hair even when lice are gone (for example, after treatment that kills the lice). Currently, there are five main recommended options for clearing head lice: -- Dimeticone 4% lotion (trade name: Hedrin). --Isopropyl myristate and cyclomethicone solution (trade name: Full Marks Solution). --Coconut, anise and ylang ylang (CAY) spray. --Malathion 0.5% aqueous liquid (has various trade names). --Wet combing using the Bug Buster comb and method (see separate leaflet called Wet Combing Treatment for Head Lice for more detail). The treatment chosen may depend on your personal preference, and what you have tried before (if appropriate). Each treatment has a good chance of clearing head lice if applied or done correctly and if all affected people in the household are treated at the same time.

My shoulder is paining from last 2 years due to carried heavy weight. What will I do? Is there any exercise.
Hi. As your are having pain, so it's always advisable not to do any exercise rather give your shoulder rest and once the pain has gone, then only you can perform exercises! Meantime to relieve the pain take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Hello , I was scratched by a cat on my hand on May 1st 2016 and starting May 1st 2016 to May 29th 2016, I had taken all anti rabies shots on time (first two doses with xprab which is a purified lyophillized vero cell rabies vaccine and the last three doses with rabipur which is a purified chick embryo cell), again on July 6th 2016, I came in contact through another cat , but I felt as if its teeth just touched by right leg, I again took rabipur vaccine on on 9/7/2016 and 12/7/2016. Now I had a 1 year old male pet cat, I got heim vaccinated with anti rabies vaccine RAKHSHARAB in March 2016 followed by a booster in June 2016. On 28th July 216, the pet cat scratched my right index finger, however on 29th July 2016, she passed away unfortunately in a car accident as he tried to cross the lane. I washed the wound with soap, water, dettol and applied betadine. I consulted a physician here and he asked me not to take any further booster vaccine doses, but its been almost 26 days , I still feel pain on my wound site, pain comes and goes. I talked with my doctor again and he informed me that the pain might be due to small nerve damage in my finger, is he correct , what could be the reason of the pain? Secondly can anyone tell me where I can check my antibody titre level in India, is there any lab which perform test like Rapid fluorescent focus inhibition test RFFIT, as I could not find any lab in my place which perform such test.

As you have taken the vaccine and hence I will suggest you to not take any vaccines for now and it seems to be a local problem at the site of trauma which can be dealt by a surgeon with medicine.

What I am a 35 years old i am suffering with dengue fever what should I eat at this time?

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Faridabad
What I am a 35 years old i am suffering with dengue fever what should I eat at this time?
take liquid diet, juice, green veg., dalia, plenty of water.geloy juice, tulci leaf.Prevention from dengue:-----As there are no injections or vaccines available to cure dengue, prevention by following certain basic steps will be the most effective way to fight against the dreadful disease. Some of the ways to prevent the onset of dengue are stated as follows: It is better to avoid stagnant water in flowerpots, buckets, barrels etc., in and around the house, as these are the favorite places for mosquitoes to lay eggs. Water should be stored in closed containers Bleaching powder may be used in water sources that are not meant for drinking, as it prevents the development of mosquito eggs The female mosquito feeds on blood as it requires the blood protein to produce eggs, hence it is better to use mosquito repellents, even when indoors It is advised to reside in a well screened or air conditioned house. If not, mosquito nets may be attached to the windows Usage of long-sleeved shirts, boots, socks and long pants is advised when outdoors It is healthier to avoid being outdoors during dawn, dusk or early evenings when mosquitoes tend to roam around in the open Mosquitoes are attracted to dark colored clothing hence it is better to wear bright and light colored clothes Avoid strong perfumes, as mosquitoes are drawn towards strong body odours.

Hi, lybrate-user You are having steroids which becomes not good for your health and usage of theese steroids can damage your immune system , I can understand that weight gain is a big problem now a day. The main reason behind weight gain is eating more of the processed food, less of exercise and drinking less water. You observe the habit of yours, you will find that these three reasons. Hence to lose weight cutting on processed food, sugary food, drinking 3-4 liter of water daily and exercise for min of 30 min per day is essential. Balanced food is the key to long term weight loss. I can suggest a diet plan and some dietary supplement for quick weight loss. I am suggesting a general diet and supplement for you. I hope you will get better result by usage of these. Sample Diet PlanBreakfast – green Juice.Lunch – vegetable pulao with pineapple fruits. Dinner – paneer with green salad. Snacks – 25g almonds with green tea. Suggested supplement Microfruit tab after breakfast Cytofresh tab after breakfast Lipolyzer tummy tab after lunch Lipolyzer hips and thigh tab after dinner.

I have a problem now a days I am very stressful now a days what shall I do sir or madam.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
I have a problem now a days I am very stressful now a days what shall I do sir or madam.
STRESS CONTROL There are many ways to tame your stress and keep it at bay. Here are 20 tips to tame your stress today, and keep the stress monsters at bay. 1. Perform diaphragmatic or deep breathing exercises. 2. Lie face down on the floor and begin breathing deeply and slowly, with your hands resting under your face. Do this for five minutes. 3. Sit in a reclining chair. Put a hand on your abdomen and a hand on your chest. As you breathe, make sure the hand on your abdomen is moving up and down rather than one on your chest. If the hand on your abdomen is moving you are breathing deeply and slowly. 4. Try progressive muscle relaxation or “deep muscle” relaxation. Progressively tense and relax each muscle group in your body. Learn the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. 5. Meditate. Use visualization or imagery to help you learn to be one with your thoughts. Sit quietly with your eyes closed, imagining the sights, sounds and smells of your favorite place, such as a beach or mountain retreat. 6. Exercise regularly or take up yoga. 7. Consult a psychologist about the use of biofeedback 8. Make time for music, art or other hobbies that help relax and distract you. 9. Learn to identify and monitor stressors. Come up with an organized plan for handling stressful situations. Be careful not to overgeneralize negative reactions to things. 10. Make a list of the important things you need to handle each day. Try to follow the list so you feel organized and on top of things. Put together a coping plan step by step so you have a sense of mastery. 11. Keep an eye on things that might suggest you’re not coping well. For example, are you smoking or drinking more, or sleeping less? 12. Keep a list of the large and little hassles in your day versus the major stressful events in your life. This helps you focus on the fact that you’re keeping track of and managing those as well as you can. 13. Set aside a time every day to work on relaxation. 14. Avoid using caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, junk food, binge eating and other drugs as your primary means for coping with stress. While they can be helpful once in awhile, using them as your only or usual method will result in longer-term problems, such as weight problems or alcoholism. 15. Learn to just say, “No” occasionally. It won’t hurt other people’s feelings as much as you think and is simply a method to be more assertive in your own life, to better help you meet your own needs. 16. Get the right amount of sleep. For most people, this is seven to nine hours a night. 17. Cultivate a sense of humor; laugh. 18. Research has shown that having a close, confiding relationship protects you from many stresses. 19. Don’t run from your problems! This only makes them worse. 20. Talk to your family and friends. See if they can help. If these tips don’t help, or you’ve tried a lot of them with little luck in better taming the stress in your life, it may be time to consider taking it up a notch. A mental health professional — such as a psychologist — can help teach you more effective methods for handling stress in a healthy way in your life. Such psychotherapy is short-term and time-limited, with a focus on helping you better deal with stress.
