Do not wear your denture for few weeks until healing. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with t. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one at night for 5 days, c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

When I talk to someone my saliva came out again and again please tell me what to do ?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation Physiological Pregnancy Local causes Oral inflammation- teething Infection ?oral cavity infection, dental caries, tonsillitis, peritonsilar abscess Systemic Toxin exposure- pesticides, mercury, capsaicin, snake poisoning Medication ?tranquilizers, anticonvulsants, anticholinesterases, lithium Neuromuscular ?cerebral palsy, Parkinson?s disease, motor neuron disease, bulbar/ pseudobulbar palsy, Stroke Infection- rabies Gastric- gastroesophageal reflux Advance procedures can be done with laser.DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up.

My tooth gum is swelling from last 3days sir what is the solution for this it's painful that I cannot eat food easily.
The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

I have pain in my teeth since 1 month ago now it is very painful what should I do?

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Surat
I have pain in my teeth since 1 month ago now it is very painful what should I do?
Usually, dental pain is because of infected pulp. And taking painkillers will not help much. If you need a permanent relief, you have to consult a dentist. Get your xray done and let him advice the necessary treatment. For the time being, you can take any drug having paracetamol 500 mg 2/3 times a day to manage pain. Remember, with medications pain will subside but it is not a permanent solution.

I am 21 years old male. My weight is 61 kg & height is 5'8. The problem which I suffering is bad smell from my mouth. I met 2 dentists. But they couldn't cure my problem. I am 21 years old male. My weight is 61 kg & height is 5'8. The problem which I suffering is bad smell from my mouth....
•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too.
