Sir. I fallen down 35 days ago and injured in back side near lumber vertebra reason. I feel pain only when I go to sleeping position. Or lifting heavy wgt. Or when I tried to standing from sitting position. But I do not feel pain during running, bike driving, walking. Today my doctor saw my x-ray. There was no any bone and lumber spine injury. He prescribed me some medicine. I want to know the actual cause of this pain that I feel only in some specific angle of moving. But not feel in rest position.

Dear lybrate user according to you there is no involvement of bone problem in your soft tissue due to fall in ground there is internal haemorrhage and paining. With medicine use hot pack 15 minutes twice a day and back stretching and strengthening ex upto pain free range and postural correction use hard flat bed. Thanx.

My Daughter has lot of knee pain from Last 6 months. Last month she was hospitalised due to heavily body pain & fever. Doctor doesn't diagnosed anything with blood reports for Dengue, Malaria, TYPHOID, etc etc so many tests. Thereafter they treated her for TYPHOID cause that was common in those days. After a week She's fine & discharged. But this Knee Pain is still with her. Her Blood count also Healthy. Doctor says she is all well with Different Labs Reports. She is quite inactive & Heavy Weight. Not interested in outdoor games & getting tired ASAP. Please recommend what happened to her. I have threat of Thyroid. Please give solution if symptoms are towards Thyroid.

Hello, 1.You can Apply Volini gel 1% local application twice a day for 3-5 days 2. Hot fomentation twice a day for 3 days I am giving to some common reasons for LEG PAIN 1. generalized weakness 2. Anaemia 3. physical exertion and any Trauma 4. lack of protein in Diet 5. any infection present on leg or foot 6. muscle weakness 7 abrupt start/ stop of physical exercise 8. Vit D and Calcium Deficiency Kindly consult physician for further management

Exercises for cervicogenic headache hi dear, I hope you will fitt and fine The following exercises are commonly prescribed to patients with this condition. You should discuss the suitability of these exercises with your physiotherapist prior to beginning them. Generally, they should be performed 2 – 5 times daily and only provided they do not cause or increase symptoms. Your physiotherapist can advise when it is appropriate to begin the initial exercises and eventually progress to the intermediate and advanced exercises. As a general rule, addition of exercises or progression to more advanced exercises should take place provided there is no increase in symptoms. Initial Exercises Chin Tucks Begin this exercise by sitting or standing tall with your back and neck straight, shoulders should be back slightly. Tuck your chin in as far as you can go without pain and provided you feel no more than a mild to moderate stretch (figure 4). Keep your eyes and nose facing forwards during the movement. Hold for 2 seconds and repeat 10 times provided there is no increase in symptoms. Repeat 3 – 5 times daily. (N. B In some cases it may be beneficial to perform this exercise every 1 or 2 hours provided the exercise does not cause or increase symptoms). Shoulder Blade Squeezes Begin this exercise by sitting or standing tall with your back straight. Squeeze your shoulder blades together as hard and far as possible pain-free (figure 5). Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 10 times provided there is no increase in symptoms. Repeat 3 – 5 times daily. (N. B In some cases it may be beneficial to perform this exercise every 1 or 2 hours provided the exercise does not cause or increase symptoms) Some of the most commonly recommended products by physiotherapists to hasten healing and speed recovery in patients with this condition include: 1.Postural Supports To enjoy a long and healthy life 2.Therapeutic Pillows 3.Ice Packs and Heat Packs 4.Lumbar Rolls (for sitting) 5.Sports Tape (for postural taping) 6.McKenzie Treat Your Own Neck Book 7.Foam Rollers 8.Massage Balls (for self massage) 9.TENS Machines (for pain relief)

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 1 wk, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Having neck pain again and again. This stopped using pillows. What else should be done.

1.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give local hot fomentation 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a)Take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b)Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest c) Consult for further advice

Heat is an effective mean of reducing and relieving pain in cervical spondylosis. You can use hot packs at home. Some exercises like static contractions and strengthening exercises are needs to be done. Isometric contractions of the cervical muscles improve the muscle endurance and tone as the contractions improve the blood supply thereby the nutrition to the muscle is increased and hence muscle strengthening is done. Please see a physiotherapist for these exercises. You may need traction and soft tissue techniques for the management of cs. Postural awareness is very important. As the condition progresses, the abnormality of posture also increases, thus from the initial stage itself, postural awareness through proper advice and education should be planned and initiated by the physiotherapist. Hi lybrate user, all these symptons including excessive levels of cortisol, indicating cushing's syndrom. nutrition is very important in muscle building. you might want to add protein in your diet to increase protein compnent to 50% of energy need. daily intake of gram a katori full in breakfast and pulses and eggs will be helpful

It's a progressive disease but we can slow it down by doing normal streatching exercises do not go for though exercises with weights, need to keep an eye on the posture walking and other ADLs. Do let me know if you need any help or want more detail.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.
