I did root canal(left bottom tooth next to wisdom) two years back, but now the ceramic cap came off as the tooth from inside is damaged and only half of it is left. I visited the same dentist and he told me he will remove the broken tooth and gave me two option, bridge and other to drill screw and fix it which will take around six month for the entire procedure. Please advise appx how much does it cost as the cost my dentist told me is too much. The screw option are from USA, Germany etc.

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Yamunanagar
Dear , As per the details provided by you your dentist has told you everything clearly and he is right. Coming to the cost factor, today almost (if not more) 100 companies are making Dental Implants (screw as you wrote) with various designs and costs. So it depends on which system your dentist is using, will determine the cost of treatment. Don't mind but it is as good as the brands like clothing, footwear, TV, PC or mobile one prefers because of his own or others experience. It also depends upon which city you live, locality etc. As I think you know the cost of business depends, on these factors. So decide earliest possible. Till then Good Luck and Good Bye.

Natural Teeth Whitening Foods

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Thane
Natural Teeth Whitening Foods
Munching foods like apples and pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

For more than a year my tongue is having burning sensation or like inflammation especially during early hours of the day ie 3 to 6 hours. Dryness in mouth also experiencing. Earlier some reddish color used to appear on tongue n disappeared after a while. I took homeopathic, Ayurvedic n a lot of Allopathic medicines but nothing happened n the problem still exists. Kindly advise.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
To avoid infection and reduce pain in a first-degree burn on the tongue: rinse the area well with cool water for a few minutes. Remove any dirt or particles that may be on the burn. Wet a clean cloth with cool water and hold it on top of the burn. Suck on ice chips or a popsicle to soothe the pain. Gargle with cool water or salt water. Avoid warm or hot liquids, which could irritate the burn. Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. Sprinkle a few grains of sugar on the tongue to relieve pain.

Keep your fallen tooth

Keep your fallen tooth
Saving a fallen tooth can be useful. Try to keep it in place while you seek immediate medical attention. If that is not the case, try wrapping the tooth in a piece of plastic or soaking it into milk and call for immediate dental service.

Hi Dentist, my gums are black and I want them to become nomal (pink). What I have to do?
Hello, black gums could be because of smoking or pigmentation. Get it checked from the dentist. If it is because of pigmentation, by electro-cautery (surgical procedure) gums can be made pink again.
