Sir I have suffer one problem, I will sleep early or late but early morning 3 o clock I wake up, so what we have do sir.
You have a problem in maintaining your sleep and difficulty getting back to sleep once awakened. Take Tab. Stillnoct 12.5 mg (1-2 hours before going to bed) - sleep in a quiet dark room - have a light dinner with fruits at least 2 hours before going to bed - avoid smoking, exercise, alcohol, tea, coffee after 5 pm - make a habit to get up at a fixed time, do not force yourself to sleep once awakened

Chances of transmission to child are there but very less. What you can do is get your child vaccinated as soon as he is born.

I'm 8 months pregnant and having heart burning problem and its severe. I want to know whether I can use any medicine ...
Greeting lybrate-user, first of let me reassure that this is a totally treatable and also a very common problem among pregnant women. Now that you asked about safety, I would assume you are not a known hypertensive or a diabetic or an asthmatic. Answer to the problem is 1- you may reduce the symptoms by altering your lifestyle and food habits a): drink less water during eating b) many small meals and not one or two heavy meals c) not to lie down immediately after a meal, d) left lateral position while lying down. 2- if you have already done that and still have no relief then you could consider a few medications such as simethicone (acixx 5 ml) or gelusil chewable tablets which are safe during pregnancy. Please consult your primary care physician for more details. Thanks.

Is Septoplasty the only way to correct deviated nasal septum. What is the cost involved. Thanks in advance.

MBBS, Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO)
ENT Specialist, Bangalore
Is Septoplasty the only way to correct deviated nasal septum. What is the cost involved. Thanks in advance.
Yes, but the term is very ambiguous as there are many small steps with varied surgical techniques that are included in the term Septoplasty. Modern techniques have made packless endoscopic surgery with new age tools like LASERs, Microdebriders, Coblation Wands have transformed Septoplasty from a horribly painful surgery into a minimally invasive short-stay surgery that allows you to breathe nasally as soon as you regain consciousness in the recovery room! Costs differ depending upon the technologies employed, Implants/packs/splints used, surgical technique and popularity and expertise of the surgeon involved, type of ward opted for, type of hospital, town/city where surgery is done. My patients usually spend about ₹1,00,000 all inclusive, as a daycare admission in an average hospital in Bengaluru. At a corporate hospital, in a Royal Suite, the same surgery could cost you triple the amount easily! In any small town in Karnataka, in a small Nursing Home, you could get Septoplasty done for ₹25,000 too. But remember, you pay peanuts, you will only get monkeys! Select an ENT Surgeon carefully. There are many sites which have comprehensive listings of ENT Surgeons with previous patient feedbacks. Read them carefully, before you select the right surgeon for you.

Penis Size - All You Need To Know About It

Penis Size - All You Need To Know About It

Human sexuality is a complex subject and most knowledge floating around in the world is often misguided by myths and wrong assumptions. One of the things, which worry men the most is their size of their penis, and information about this subject is often fraught with misinformation. Let's take a look at some of the facts that have been published in scientific medical journals within the medical community and come from legitimate sources.

The average penis size:
Studies done around the world, irrespective of race has shown that the average size of the human penis is about 3 to 5 inches flaccid and 5 to 7 inches erect. There are deviations to this as well, but this is the norm in over 90 percent of the cases. Medically a penis is only considered small if it is less than three inches in size when erect. This is a condition known as a micropenis. Penises tend to fall into two categories as far as erect sizes:

I. Growers: The ones who have a flaccid smaller length but tend to grow much more proportionately and thus have a much larger size after erection.
II. Showers: These are men who have larger flaccid sizes but don't grow proportionately as much after achieving an erection.

Normal size:
If you have an erect penis which is 5 to 7 inches long, then you have a normal penis as do most of other men. Most women have stated that they were happy with the partner's size, but what mattered to them more was how it was used. Also some women reported that the girth of the penis was more important as friction on the side walls of the vagina made them feel more pleasure.

The mechanics of sex:
Although there are some women who may like the visual appeal of a bigger penis, most women can't really tell the difference between a 5 inch and a 7 inch penis when it is inside the vagina. The fascination with a bigger size is mostly cultural, social or hyped up by the media. Most women want a variety of sex acts to help them reach orgasm and very rarely reach orgasm only through penetrative sex. Size only matters to an extent if the penis is much below average, but in most cases what matters is the capability of the person to satisfy their partners through other means as well. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.
