How Homeopathy Helps Manage Cancer?

How Homeopathy Helps Manage Cancer?

Homeopathic treatments heal a disorder by inducing diluted symptoms of the same disorder to treat it. There are treatments in homeopathy which are used in treating cancer. These treatments adopt multiple approaches to treating cancer such as inducing similar symptoms to treat the disorder or strengthening the elimination systems (kidney, liver and lymphatic system).

Some remedies used for treating cancer by following the principles of classical Homeopathy are-

1. Lapis Albus - This treatment is usually used in treating cases of breast cancer and malignant growths in the uterus.

2. Conium - Conium is used in treating cancers related to the genital area such as testicles and uterus.

3. Hecla lava - Hecla lava is used in the treatment of bone cancer.

4. Arsenicum - Arsenicum is used to treat almost all cancer-related disorders. It helps in easing symptoms of psychological fear that cancer patients have. It also detoxifies the body and eases the stress from the kidneys and nervous system.

5. Phytolacca - Phytolacca is used when malignant tumors occur in fat based tissues. They are also used in treating fibroids tumors in the uterus and hard tumors in the breast.

6. Condurango - Cancers related to the stomach respond well to this treatment. It is also helpful in treating symptoms of cancer that form in the epithelial cells of the body.

I have a small n movable lump on my right breast since ten years. There is no any pain till yet. I took medicines n have done tests like ultrasound, fnac. Its result was normal. Iif you are having a lump in the breast for 8-9 months , you should not ignore it, get a biopsy with needle done for some good labortory and also a mammography done to confirm the nature of the tumour

I am 19 years old and I have been asked to get the vaccination against cervical cancer. One requirement of this vaccination is that one shouldn't have had sexual contact to get this vaccination but if I have kissed and made out is that okay?

Benign Prostate Enlargement

MCH-Urology
Urologist, Delhi
Play video

Hello friends. I am Dr Saurabh Mishra. I am a senior consultant in Urology in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. Now I am going to discuss something about Prostate. As you know prostate is a very common problem and it is not only seen by the urologist but so many other colleagues in the medical specialities, specially the physician. There are lot of myths and confusions about the Prostate in patients as well as the health care professionals. So, I would like to simplify the treatment methods for the prostate specially from the patient's point of view.

For the treatment protocol, we keep the patients into three categories;

  • Those patients who are asymptomatic and incidently been detected an emlarged prostate. Anything above 20g prostate, we call it as enlarged prostate. So, suppose a patient have some symptoms, he has undergone ultarsound and enlarged prostate was picked up. Such patients lie in Group-1. They do not need any treatment and kept under observation. Once they face any problem, they are given appropriate treatment.
  • Group-2 are those patients who suffer some urinary problems. Most commonly, they face frequent urine at night. In this category, they can have some obstructive features also. For example, they take long time to pass urine, the last part of the utine comes slowly that is called dribbling of urine. If these symptoms are present, the patient goes to the doctor and doctor evaluates and if no complicated factors are found then the medical treatment is started. So many medicines are available for the medical treatment of the Prostate. But unfortunately, most of them belong to same family. Due to this, if one drug fails to work then the options are least.
  • Group-3 patients are those who have complications. The complication may include the recurrent urinary tract infection, recurrent blood in urine, either of the kidney or both the kidneys are enlarged, bladder stones etc. If these symptoms are present, then it becomes the complicated factor. If any of tehse factors or all of these are present in the patient, then these patients may directly be planned for the surgery and no medical treatment is incorporated in such patients.

Few things we come to know. I have never dicussed about the size of the prostate. That means the size of the prostate will not tell about the treatment. There are so many patients who took treatment from the physician also. So, to such patients, I want to clarify the thing that the treatment is not that complicated but the treatment should be incorporated. The patient should be clarifies about the problem and the treatment and the group should be evaluated for the patient.

Thank you so much.

Ayurvedic Remedies To Treat Lymphoma!

Ayurvedic Remedies To Treat Lymphoma!

In simple words, lymphoma is cancer of the lymphatic system. It begins in the infection-fighting cells of the body called the lymphocytes. Lymphocytes can be found in lymph nodes, spleen, thymus gland in the neck, bone marrow and other parts of our bodies.

Lymphoma means that the lymphocytes change and divide recklessly. There are two main types of lymphoma-

  1. Non-Hodgkin: The most common type of lymphoma.
  2. Hodgkin

Non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphoma each affect a different kind of lymphocyte or white blood cell.

There is a different treatment modality for both these different types of lymphomas as the affected cells are different and so is their rate of growth. Even though lymphatic cancer is very common, it’s easily treatable. Timely diagnosis and proper treatment off course are very important. Its causes can be diverse like genetics, a weak immune system, diseases like celiac, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, infections with certain viruses, age over 60 and gender- men are more prone to getting lymphomas.

Symptoms and warning signs

  1. Swollen glands in the neck, armpit, or groin
  2. Persistent cough
  3. Night sweats
  4. Weight loss
  5. Shortness of breath
  6. Fever
  7. Stomach pain
  8. Fatigue
  9. Itching

Treatment

The treatment depends on the kind of lymphoma one has and how far the cancer has spread. The treatments for non-Hodgkin lymphoma are-

  1. Chemotherapy which uses certain drugs to destroy cancer cells.
  2. Radiation therapy uses high-energy rays to kill cancer cells.
  3. Immunotherapy uses the body's own immune system to kill cancer cells.

The common treatments for Hodgkin lymphoma are:

  1. Chemotherapy
  2. Radiation therapy

Traditional medicine systems like Acupressure and Ayurveda are used as complementary systems to bring relief from the cancer.

  1. Cupressure is used to drain the lymph nodes affected with lymphoma.
  2. Triphala, a common Ayurvedic remedy is being investigated to understand its killing effects on lymphoma cells in the body. It has also been seen to ‘regress’ tumours in animal studies. Hence, Triphala is a potent anti-cancer Ayurvedic drug.

Ayurvedic herbal drugs are used to treat the lymphatic system of the patient, so that it produces normal cells. Ayurvedic Panch tikta grut can pacify the lymphatic system whereas other herbs enhance the immune system and reduce inflammation.

Quick Tips

  1. Green tea has also been shown to have phytonutrients called catechins, which have anticancer properties.
  2. Curcumin extracted from turmeric is also able to kill human lymphoma cells. It also makes chemotherapy and radiotherapy work better against the cancer while protecting normal cells.
  3. Mistletoe extract is also a powerful immune-modulator.
  4. Carrots and broccoli also show a number of benefits when included in the diet of someone suffering from cancer.
  5. Foods rich in beta carotene which means vegetables and fruits of different colours have high antioxidant content which supports healing.
  6. Chyawan prash is very useful during chemotherapy. One must avoid Sugar.

What are the symptoms of skin cancer. If a person suffer from the skin cancer. How can he will be safe from the skin cancer and what is the limit of the skin cancer.

Skin cancers present as ulceration or growth over skin. Ulceration are irregular and sometimes burrowing types. It also present as sudden change in size of mole or thickening of skin or lymph node enlargement may be there. Mostly risk factors are ultraviolet radiation exposure, chemical exposure to skin, post burn or sometimes some viral infection. Avoiding over exposure to sun, using sunscreen, regular self examination helps in prevention and early diagnosis.

I am a 39 yr old and a mother of 2yr old son. I used to have small lump on my left breast and used to get mild bouts of pain 4-5 years back but it vanished itself after sometime. Now after marriage and childbirth I am getting a feeling that the lump is developing again. On checking I don't find the lump that prominent. However, mild pain is experienced sometimes. Please suggest.

DNB (General Surgery)
General Surgeon, Bangalore
See a surgeon to get the lump examined. Get an ultrasound if breast and maxilla as well. Keep examining the breast once a week itself in front of a mirror. Don't get stressed.
