This problem is called as gingivitis. Gum infection. You should visit your nearby dentist to undergo cleaning procedure. And can use 1) metrogyl dg gel apply twice after brushing for 10 minutes 2) sensoform gum paint to massage on gums for 5 minutes. Then rinse with warm saline water carry this procedure for 10 days atleast.

I am 44 years old male. I am suffering from bad smell from my mouth. It is increasing day by day. I am brushing my teeth thrice in a day. How may I come out from this matter.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Bad breath, medically called halitosis, can result from poor dental health habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Bad breath can also be made worse by the types of foods you eat and other unhealthy lifestyle habits. Basically, all the food eaten begins to be broken down in your mouth. As foods are digested and absorbed into the bloodstream, they are eventually carried to your lungs and given off in your breath. If you eat foods with strong odors (such as garlic or onions), brushing and flossing -- even mouthwash -- merely covers up the odor temporarily. The odor will not go away completely until the foods have passed through your body. Practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoridetoothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Brush teeth after you eat (keep a toothbrush at work or school to brush after lunch). Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. Rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash twice a day. Dentures should be removed at night and cleaned thoroughly before being placed in your mouth the next morning. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor.

My teeth are now fully turned into yellow what can I do to make them white ? On internet it was written that we can use vinegar to make the teeth look white should I try it ?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, use homeodent toothpaste twice daily, morning and night before sleep. Home remedy:- cleaning your teeth with fresh orange peel on a regular basis will reduce the yellow tinge accumulated on your teeth. Rub orange peel over your teeth every night before going to sleep. The vitamin c and calcium in the orange peel will combat the microorganisms throughout the night. Do this for a few weeks and you will notice effective results. If fresh orange peel is not available, you can use dried orange peel powder. Take care.

My teeth is very yellow please give me suggestion to remove to yellow color from teeth.

You need to go for scaling and bleaching. Avoid too much tea, coffee and chocolate. Tobacco products, alcohol and smoking also cause staining so avoid these if you take. Brush regularly two times daily. Rinse your mouth after each meal.

I have some teeth problem my age 24 running and may last teeth will be grow up is it normal thing was it growing teeth is? And it was pain full so I can put out teeth from may mouth.

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist, Jamshedpur
You may have wisdom tooth problem. Get one x-ray done to know wether wisdom tooth is erupting in normal occlusal position. If it is not erupting in normal occlusal position and there is less space for it to erupt then it will cause repeated infection and inflammation. It would be better to get it extracted.

Consumables which are acidic in nature like soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity. They can soften the tooth material which would further lead to the dissolution of minerals into the tooth enamel, resulting in cavities.

I am 32 years old man and sometimes I saw blood from my throat after completing the brushing to my teeth and gargals. Please tell me why it is so?

BDS
Dentist, Raipur
If you see blood after brushing your teeth then it is bleeding from your gums and not from your throat. Kindly get scaling done and use gum paint twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique.

My daughter is 16 years old. Her front teeth are disarrayed and there is an extra tooth that requires removal followed by re arrangement of the front teeth. She is anxious about the surgery for the pain it may cause. Can you please inform us of the correct age and the dynamics of the surgery?

MDS
Dentist, Wardha
If there is an extra tooth it should be removed soon. Usally the extra teeth apart from third molars are small in size so less painful. As for rearrangement of teeth her age is perfect for any ortho treatment. You should get it done right away. Hope it is helpful.

Reasons of bad breath in mouth? I am suffering from this, please help me with it.

Certified Implantologist, Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), BDS
Dentist, Kolkata
There are basically two primary reasons for a bad breath. First is if you r suffering from gastritis then there can be bad breath due to that. Secondly if you have any deposits over your teeth or if your gums bleed while brushing and also an unhygienic tongue can too be the one amongst all this. So get a tooth check up done by a dentist n then sort out this if the reason is second one. What the dentist has to do is scaling and followed by polishing n then giving you the oral hygiene instructions hope this will help

B H M S, MD
Homeopath, Thrissur
Bleeding while brushing teeth is due to multiple causes. Firstly you may be having gum disease or may be a chance of vitamin c deficiency, or ulcers in the mouth or some times due to blood disorders. Diagnosis should be established by consulting a physician.

Sir I am 47 years old but last 6 months I am suffering with dental infection the teeths are slightly moving. On the lunch time I got heavy pain please give me some treatment.

BDS
Dentist, Coimbatore
Hi sir, you would be suffering from generalized periodontitis which is the inflammatory diseases affecting the tissues that surround and support the teeth. It involves progressive loss of the bone around the teeth, and if left untreated, can lead to the loosening and subsequent loss of teeth. So, get scaling & root planing done first. If you are a diabetic, check your blood glucose levels and keep it under control (since diabetics are more prone for periodontitis). You might need surgical procedures if the condition is very severe. But, initially get scaling & root planing done.
