Quit habits if any. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Goggle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. Kindly consult a physician & dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too.: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Dentist,
abc dental tips - use of a tongue scraper a day, keeps bad breath away! Like our teeth, our tongue also develops tongue plaque which results in bad breath. So, like our teeth, our tongue also needs to be cleaned daily. Keeping it clean on a daily basis will give you a fresher breath and a fresher mouth. Keep Smiling

My mother is suffering from mouth sore badly, she is not able to open her mouth and eat food. She is having Gfolvin lb and opox 200 and candid mouth pain but it didn't relief.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

I am chewing tobacco for more than 15years now these days I am feeling difficulties during eating something my mouth doesn't open fully .

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
I think you might be developing a condition called Oral Submucous Fibrosis (OSMF). This is considered a precursor stage to frank Oral Cancer. Please quit your tobacco as well as alcohol (if present) habits, immediately and completely. Do not use supaari or eat paan either. Avoid spicy foods. As for the reduced mouth opening, do start active and aggressive physiotherapy which would need to be continued lifelong. For additional treatment, please see an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Hello sir i've gype in my every front teeth. I'm feeling very awkward when smiling in public. I want get rid from tee...
Gaps in the front teeth: gaps in the front teeth can occur in any age. The gap occurring in the front teeth at the age of 9 - 11 is quite common as that settles by itself. Treatment is usually not indicated. But if the gap is seen and the front tooth or teeth are missing and causing the gap then it's something which needs attention. Some of the gaps in the front teeth can be due to the habits practiced during childhood ie, thumb sucking, finger sucking, always keeping the mouth open and continuously using the mouth to breath rather than the nose. These problems needs to corrected along with the gaps being closed. And yes in adolescents and adults the best method to close the gap as per the biological health of the mouth would be by orthodontics (braces treatment). This will be treated by a dental specialist called orthodontist. This treatment is time consuming which can go to few years and definitely would be ideally best and the results can last longer provided the treatment is planned and executed well. In adulthood, as some of our patients woudnt want the option of braces, then the esthetic procedures can be performed. It could be (some of the fancy words we use in dentistry) like crowns, veneers, thineers, componeers, lumineers, bridges, implants, composites, etc. But the cosmetic procedures should be performed well enough not to make the outcome disastrous. And definitely these procedures don't take the time taken by" braces treatment" so please visit your dentist to know about the best which could suit your needs. I hope I answered your query.

Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

Taking a large no. Of medications often leads to a dry mouth. Increase your fluid intake or ask your dentist about an artifical saliva product or chew sugarless gum after a meal to keep your mouth moist.
