Hello dr, I am 38 yr old man. I hv been diagnosed with anal fissures. I have taken english medicine but of not much benefit. I am now taking arvedic and homeopathy medicine for the problem and to soften the stools. I do not hv bleeding. Is there any other treatment other than removal of anal band that can solve the problem? thank you.

M.S. Genral
General Surgeon, Pune
Hi,, for your age and height--you are over weight. Problem appears to be wrong medications with wrong diagnosis of the issue you had. Anal fissure could be treated without surgery even, but before that much info is needed-during next 2 -3 interactions online for free-after which deifinitive treats could be planned. Thnks. Wellcome for any queries to fix this issue.

It may be a fissure or piles or fistula or polyp. It will require a physical examination by a general surgeon to establish the diagnosis. Anal problems improve with general measures but may require surgery. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon.

You have not mentioned about having or not fever with this problem. If you are having fever with chills this may be due to acute infection in bladder called cystitis. In absence of fever or slight fever it can also be due to a small stone or calculus in the bladder near the neck of bladder irritating the sensitive area and causing frequency of micturition. Get a microscopic urine examination and for presence or absence of crystals. A ultra sonogram of abdomen for jidney ureter and bladder will be helpful in visualizing the calculus if of enough size to produce echo.

Please suggest effective home remedies for acidity ?

International Academy of Classical Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath,
1. Basil leaves the soothing and carminative properties of basil leaves can give you instant relief from acidity, gas and nausea. 2. Cinnamon cinnamon is good for your digestive health. It works as a natural antacid and helps dispel stomach gas. 3. Buttermilk another simple home remedy for acidity is buttermilk. It contains lactic acid that normalizes the acidity in the stomach. You can buy buttermilk or make it yourself. 4. Apple cider vinegar though acidic in nature, apple cider vinegar has an alkalizing effect. Thus, it helps treat stomach acidity. Thanks

Hi. You mean gas formation? Give him Natrum Phos. 6x/ thrice daily after meals. For Hypertension: Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels.
