My MRI report says, Mild posterior broad base protrusion of L4-L5 intervertebral disc resultant mild central and lateral canal narrowing causing mild compression over thecal sac and right traversing L5 nerve root. I am doing bed rest from 10 days, what's the report says.

Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS)
Orthopedist, Trichy
the report says that you have a disc prolapse and the disc is compressing one of the right nerve root. So if you have back and right leg pain then it would fit with your MRI findings. Absolute bed rest is not required for disc prolapse. as it is a mild prolapse there is a chance that the symptoms will improve with medications. avoid lifting heavy weight and reduce your body weight too

Take dates in the morning. Also take cinnamon powder with honey in the morning in the empty stomach in the morning identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. In case it continues consult a acupuncture/acupressure dr. In your place. Also take calcium tablets for a limited period 2 months consult me privately after 5 days

My mother is suffering from renumatic arthritis please help what to do for my mom.

BAMS

My mother is suffering from renumatic arthritis please help what to do for my mom.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) In this disease pain and stiffness start in small joints such as in hands (fingers) feet, and wrist joint. These methods are helpful to your mother: • Take half teaspoon of haldi in one glass milk daily. This will reduce inflammation of your joints. • Take 100 gm jaggery (gur) and 30 gm of dry ginger powder mix it and make 5 gm tablets and take a tablet daily with water in morning after meal. • If you have pain in joint massage it with lukewarm oil daily. • Move your joint daily and do some muscle streching exercise. This will reduce stiffness in your joints. • Avoid junk food and eat healthy food such as green leafy vegetables and fruits daily.
