Scared of Surgery? You Now Have an Option - Choose Laparoscopy!

Scared of Surgery? You Now Have an Option - Choose Laparoscopy!
Scared of surgery? Choose Laparoscopy!

Traditional open surgery requires an 8-10 cm incision to expose the surgical area of the abdomen which needs to be operated. This large incision is a major post-operative side-effect which results in longer recovery period.
The alternative technique, laparoscopy also known as minimally invasive surgery or keyhole surgery, is a modern surgical procedure in which small incisions of about 0.5–1.5 cm are made far from the location of the operation. One or more such holes on the abdominal wall serve as passageways for a specialised instrument called a laparoscope. A long, thin tube headed by a high-resolution camera and a high-intensity guiding light is inserted through the incision. As the instrument moves along, the camera transmits images to a video monitor enabling your surgeon to see inside without opening up your body for surgery.
This process is used to diagnose unidentified abdominal or pelvic pain. Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is usually performed when all non-invasive alternatives have been tried. Imaging techniques like ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are sometimes unable to provide enough data for diagnosis.
Laparoscopic surgery is used for the removals of an inflamed appendix, gall bladder, hernias, and cancer-affected organs, fibroids from the uterus, the womb (hysterectomy) and also for performing weight-loss surgeries.

Laparoscopy has a lot of advantages over the more common, open procedure. They are:
1. Less post-operative pain
2. Smaller scars
3. Reduced haemorrhaging and blood loss
4. Shorter recovery period
5. Less pain medications and analgesia requirements
6. Reduced exposure to internal organs
7. Faster return to normal activity
8. Reduced risk of infection
Laparoscopy is a proven safer choice with a fast-healing process side-stepping conventional surgery!

First of all taking these tablets has its own side effects. I t is temporary solution since how long you r having irregular periods what is the reason for this has to be ruled out and now so much of work load stress and tension has direct effect on hormones. So it is neccesary to understand the root cause of it.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) occurs when very small cysts (small, fluid-filled sacs) develop in the ovaries. The usual symptoms of PCOS are irregular or light periods or no periods at all. This is because, in women with PCOS, ovulation (the release of an egg) may not take place as often as normal. You should opt Homoeopathic treatment, it has cure for PCOS. Treatment is based on totality of symptoms and constitution. It takes time but resolve the disease by root.In pcos first we target to get your periods back to normal.

Whether there is a chance of getting HIV when had a sex with a married women having 1 year baby.

MBBS, MD Psychiatry, DNB Psychiatry

There is always a chance of getting some sexually transmitted disease like HIV due to unprotected sex with an unknown partner, unless proven otherwise. A married woman naturally has another sexual partner in form of her husband whose sexual contacts also have to be taken into account.

Hi lybrate-user with this high prolactin conceiving is difficult. Your wife has to start medicine to reduce prolactin and also evaluate why prolactin is high. When prolactin is normal, natural conception is possible. U can send me all your reports online and consult.

Hi dr I am not getting my period on time even it stay for only 1 day when its come .I hv hypothyroid not losing weight .my major problem is that I m not getting my period from last year .m in relationship please help

First of all you should continue thyroid drugs and ensure that it is controlled. Weight gain is another problem that causes mens irregularities. So, your first treatment is in your hand- weight loss, weight loss and weight loss (diet and exercise). Some of my patients are doing very well simply by weight loss without any drugs. If despite weight loss (when you are sincerely trying), the problem persists, you should take drugs after consulting doctors

The chances are you may have failure with the medical method of abortion if the drug was not absorbed in your system. However if you have already started to bleed wait for a couple of days for the full response. Vomiting and loose motions reduce the efficacy of these med for obvious reasons. Het sonography done after a week to see if the abortion is complete. Better see a gynec. These things are too precarious to manage by yourself. It may backfire.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

My wife is pregnant of 9 month,
Cani take her hospital on bikfor weekly check up.
At 9 months pregnancy, bike is a little risky as usually they sit on one side of bike, where there is a risk of fall. She can sit with both legs on either side to avoid fall. As such bike ride is not harmful for a nine month pregnant. Majority of indian population travel on bike when pregnant.
