To get rid of bad breath, simply mince 3-5 cloves of Garlic and swallow with a small glass of milk. Is water is equally good for swallow Garlic?

•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person.

Normally spaces between the teeth can be treated and those gaps can be closed with the help of orthodontic braces. As you said, if your teeth are small or underdeveloped, after check up we can exactly say what exact treatment you require. In healthy dentition there is no need of replacement of teeth, we can treat it accordingly with advance treatment aids.

Gum diseases should be treated by periodontists, who specialize in treating dental gum diseases. Since they exclusively deal with this field, they offer treatments which other dentists generally do not refer to.

Difference between fixed retainer and removable retainer? which one is best after ortho treatment?

BDS, Certified Implantologist
Dentist, Delhi
A fixed is bonded on the inner surface of your teeth. A removable one is seen from outside and is to be removed while eating. Both together work well after orthodontic treatment.

I got a dental bridge done on molars over an year ago. After a month or so, I am experiencing severe stench from outer side of the bridge. I went back to the same clinic and complained, but I was told that as there is no pain nor swelling, it's all ok! I had been very sensitive to foul smelling of others' mouth. Now, I am with it perpetually! what should I do to get back my oral confidence?

After a root canal treatment, it is advised to get a crown or cap done. If the tooth filling has fractured, or the rct has failed, get a x ray done to access the damage, and re- treatment may be advised.

Irregularly positioned teeth or crowding of teeth as it is called, can cause difficulty in properly brushing the teeth and maintaining oral hygiene as the brush is unable to reach through. You need an orthodontic correction of the crowded teeth or braces as it is more commonly known, after which it will be easier for you to clean your teeth.

It seems that you are suffering for sensitivity of teeth. There are multiple reasons for sensitivity of teeth. And multiple remedies are also available for the same. Most common remedy for the same is using a desensitizing toothpaste. But it is advised that you should first get a proper diagnosis done from your nearby dentist regarding the best possible treatment for your condition.
