Having unprotected sex isn't the smartest move a person can make, but it isn't necessarily the end of the world, so follow the advice below and you should be fine.

Finding out you're pregnant can be the happiest or the scariest day of your life.

Don't wait around and bury your head in the sand saying 'it won't happen to me' and 'I'll be fine' you might not be, and then you'll find yourself in a much more difficult situation than if you'd faced the situation head on and quickly.

If the intercourse happened less than 72 hours ago, emergency contraception, the morning-after pill, can be taken as a precaution against you becoming pregnant. However, note that the sooner you take the emergency contraceptive pill, the higher its efficiency is.

Check for any unusual symptoms around your genitals (vagina or penis), such as:

  • Pain when you urinate
  • Itching
  • An unusual or smelly discharge
  • Sores
  • Unexplained bleeding

Not all STIs have visible symptoms so even if you think you're fine, after having unprotected sex, get tested!

Go For Sexually Transmitted Disease Profile Including HIV ( 1ST Month HIV RNA, 3RD MONTH HIV ELISA), HSV 1 and 2, HbsAg, HCV, Urine Routine, VDRL, etc.

Take Post Exposure Prophylactic Drugs (Anti - HIV) as soon as possible. It works when started within 72 hours and must be continued for 1 month to prevent HIV.

Hello- Vaginal dryness suggest weak body stature. Your internal lubricating glands are not healthy enough to produce proper fluid for lubrication. Use artificial lubricant gels during sex. Increase the amount of dairy products to help your lubrication internally. Drink milk with few drops of almond oil few minutes before sex. Massage you body daily with coconut oil. It will increase the internal lubrication fluid.

I am Married, having hypothyroidism since 2004, we are trying for baby for past six months , my recent tsh level was 8.3microIU/ml, and dosage 50 mcg, In order to conceive should I need any extra dosage? Hello lybrate-user, hypothyroidism if not well controlled will affect conception negatively. Recommended tsh levels before conception is about 2 mu/l. Similarly during pregnancy too following levels are recommended 1st trimester 0.1 to 2mu/l, 2nd trimester 0.3 to 3 mu/l & 3rd trimester 0.3 to 3.1 mu/l. These levels ensure better fetal development and healthy out come of pregnancy. So even before attempting for conception please see that tsh level is brought down to the above mentioned range. I am having doubt of pregnancy. But I am not confirm. My periods were not coming in last month so I took (deviry 10) 3 tablets n then periods came and remained for 7 days now in this month of July again my periods has not came. So is it possible that I am pregnant? It is possible that after 2 month irregular period I can be pregnant?

no chance of pregnancy............. as u said after taking tablets u got periods and remained for 07 days........ once u get periods there is no chance of pregnancy.....there are several reasons for irregular periods........... and as u are taking these tablets ......(deviry10) also has adverse effects and delay periods......... pcod.fibroids of uterus,thyroid,hormonal imbalances may also lead to irregular periods................

If she has a regular cycle of 28 days then 17 or 18 th will be her ovulation and that is the time she can conceive otherwise you can have sex on every alternate day from 10th day of the cycle to the 20th day counting first day of the periods as day one.

If it has never happened before and it is not heavy I wouldn't worry too much. Instead monitor it and the next few cycles. If over the next few months you find that your cycle has changed, periods are becoming heavier/ painful or there is any bleeding during or after sex then please consult a gynaecologist.

Hello, its too late to take any emergency contraceptive. So please get a serum beta hcg test done to rule out pregnancy first. If hcg levels re low and test is negative then you are pregnancy safe.

Ways to Improve Male Sexual Performance

1. Heart health and sexual performance

Your penis works on blood pressure. The brain sends signals to your penis that causes vessels to swell with blood. Your heart is responsible for pumping the blood. If your heart isn’t at its healthiest, it can cause problems with blood flow from the heart to the vessels in your penis. This can make it difficult to achieve a full erection. Make sure your circulatory system is working at top shape.

Basically, what’s good for your heart is good for your sexual health.

2. Certain foods can also help you increase blood flow. These foods include:


    Onions and garlic: these foods may not be great for your breath, but they can help your blood circulation.
    Bananas: this potassium-rich fruit can help lower your blood pressure, which can benefit your important sexual parts and boost sexual performance.
    Chilies and peppers: all-natural spicy foods help your blood flow by reducing hypertension and inflammation.
    Omega-3 acids: this type of fat increases blood flow. You can find it in salmon, tuna, avocados, and olive oil.
    Vitamin b-1: this vitamin helps signals in your nervous system move quicker, including signals from your brain to your penis. It’s found in pork, peanuts, and kidney beans.
    Eggs: high in other b vitamins, eggs help balance hormone levels. This can decrease stress that often inhibits an erection.

Stress can wreak havoc on all areas of your health, including your libido. Stress increases your heart rate (in the bad way) and increases blood pressure. Both of these are damaging to sexual desire and performance. Psychological stress can also affect achieving an erection or reaching an orgasm.     If you’re not lasting as long as you’d like in bed, you might need some practice. While sex is the best way to practice for sex, masturbation can also help you improve your longevity.

    However, how you masturbate could have detrimental effects. If you rush through it, you could inadvertently decrease the time you last with your partner. The secret is making it last, just like you want to when you’re not alone.

    Sex isn’t a one-way street. Paying special attention to your partner’s desires not only makes sex pleasurable for them, but it can also help turn you on or slow you down. Talking about this beforehand can help ease any awkwardness if you need to slow down during a heated moment.

Hello, Since you have already started tablet Thyronorm, please check your TSH levels once again after completing 6-8 weeks of tablets. If your TSH level is between 2-3 you can start planning pregnancy. However please make a note you need to keep checking your thyroid levels repeatedly even if you conceive to avoid miscarriage.

Hello, as you are in you rid cycle, this is more likely to be an ovulation bleed during ovulation time which is normal in most women and can last for 2-3 days in form of spotting unless you have been sexually active where other differential could be an implantation bleed which would have to be ruled out with a serum beta hcg test after 7 days post last intercourse.

The way we sit, walk, bend or stand is hugely dependent on one very vital organ of the human body; the spine. The spinal column provides strength and support to your entire framework. It has nerves, muscles, bones and tendons; all of which enhance proper functioning of your body. The human brain sends signals to the nerves in your spinal cord, a mass of nerve fibers and tissues ensconced within the spine, which further prompts every single part of your body to perform minute and notable actions all the same. A spine injury can, thus impair your health; in many cases it can even turn out to be fatal. Care should be taken to avoid sources of spine shock or injury. If an injury has already been acquired, it should be treated either through exercising or through medical assistance. 

A few postures to reap the benefits of a fit spine:

  1. Twist your spine either early in the morning or after a tiring day: Fold one leg while the other leg remains perched on the folded one. If the left leg is folded the left elbow should be rested on your perched right knee and the right palm should be placed on the yoga mat behind your right hip. This posture can be repeated by folding the right leg as well. It increases spine mobility by twisting it to the end of its range sideways. Muscular spine aches can be remedied by following this posture once each day.  
  2. Do not slouch but sit straight: Some people are in the habit of slouching when they sit or stand. This is an absolutely wrong thing to do if your spine health is of any concern to you. Stretch out your shoulder blades and remain erect while standing and the same should be followed while sitting. Bending one's spine, unless it is necessary, can be very harmful.   
  3. Stretch your spine in three directions: This exercise is a good way to allay the tension your spine has to undergo every day. Sit with folded legs, intertwine your fingers and stretch your arms upward, in front and at the back to expand your spine to the full.   
  4. The downward doggy posture can relieve back pain: In this yoga posture, one is expected to stretch his or her legs according to the width of the person's back and stoop forward by placing the palms on a yoga mat. Knees and elbows should not bend.

With all the parties, late nights and heavy food, the festive season is notorious for weight gain. Along with a decorated tree, Christmas is synonymous with Christmas cake that tastes wonderful, but does nothing for your health and waistline. Store bought Christmas cakes are loaded with sugar and hence if possible, it is always better to bake your Christmas cake at home. As with any other type of food, home cooked food is always healthier than store or restaurant food. This is because you get to control the ingredients of your cake.

So here are a few tips on making a healthy Christmas cake:

  1. No added sugar: Unlike other cakes, Christmas cake does not really need additional sugar as the fruit inside it adds natural sweetness. Do not sprinkle the fruit in, but maintain a high ratio of fruit to flour. You can include all types of dried fruits, berries, apricots, dates, prunes, pineapples etc. in your cake. Traditionally, these fruits are used in their candied form, but for a healthier version of this cake, try using them in their natural or dehydrated form.
  2. Almond meal: If you buy a cake, it is likely to be made with refined flour. Refined flour has negligible nutritional value, but is very high on calories. Hence, when you’re baking a cake, consider replacing this flour with almond meal. Almond meal is lower in calories, gluten free and adds moisture to the cake. It is also rich in vitamin E, magnesium and potassium.
  3. Fresh fruit juice: Along with the pieces of fresh and dried fruit, the juice is also an essential element of Christmas cakes. Avoid opening a can here and instead use freshly squeezed juice as far as possible. Fresh fruit juice has no added sugars and is loaded with vitamins as compared to canned juice. It is also free from preservatives. You can also include the pulp that is extracted while juicing fruits like oranges into your cake.
  4. Coconut oil: A little oil is a must in cakes to make them moist and spongy. Replace your refined oil with coconut oil when baking a Christmas cake to make it healthier and more wholesome. Coconut oil has a high level of good cholesterol and when used wisely can also reduce the accumulation of fat in the body.
  5. Sides: Christmas cake is usually served with custard or ice cream; both of which are loaded with sugar and are unhealthy. Consider replacing these sides with natural yoghurt that has been sweetened with a drizzle of honey. Alternatively, you could also try some flavoured greek yoghurt and almond flakes. This will make your dessert light on the stomach and easier to digest.

Will there be any postpone in periods of her? 2. Is it safe to have sex now? 3. Will the periods be late if we have sex now? 4. And also during the time of periods, is the intercourse safe?

If using all the safety measures, you can have sex any time. As she is taking pill, which is hormonal in nature, there r chances that it can affect natural menstrual cycle. There is no relation between having safe sex and delayed periods. Intercourse is safe during periods.
