Take salt restricted diet. Fried salt restriction should be 1800 mg-2750 mg per day. Do not take added salt because most of your vegetables contain sodium already in it. Avoid mustard oil completely. Take sunflower or rice bran oil daily. Avoid red meat and big fishes completely.

Helli sir,
Am gagandeep singh from india.
My brain memory is too low and I can not concentrate on work. I want faster...
You are under some stress to suffer poor memory. But if you want to get super memory or become a genius you can do the following: One way to reduce stress in an emergency is to puff up your cheek with air pressure and hold it for about ten counts. The back pressure it creates presses the back of your throat where the vagus nerve is present. Because of this pressure it will immediately slow down your heart rate and calm you down since the vagus nerve is directly connected to the heart. If the stress comes back then repeat it until it gives up. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food. You may also include these noted foods that are good for your brain health: Brain-Friendly Foods MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center. You eat things from these 10 food groups: •Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week •Other vegetables: At least one a day •Nuts: Five servings a week •Berries: Two or more servings a week •Beans: At least three servings a week •Whole grains: Three or more servings a day •Fish: Once a week •Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week •Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil. •Wine: One glass a day You avoid: •Red meat: Less than four servings a week •Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily •Cheese: Less than one serving a week •Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week •Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week. I am not aware of any medicines available to improve memory, in spite of all the claims.

Dear Lybrate user. First you have to investigate why you are unable to insert the penis into the vagina. If the vaginal hole is so tight, foreplay and lubrication can help. In any case, before asking for medications, do consult a gynecologist for investigation. That should be safe. Take care.

Frequent Urge to Urinate - Can it Be a Sign of Prolapsed Bladder?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MCh - Genitourinary Surgery, DNB - Urology

Frequent Urge to Urinate - Can it Be a Sign of Prolapsed Bladder?

Bladder prolapse is a condition wherein a woman’s vaginal wall ceases to adequately support the urinary bladder. The front wall of the vagina gives support to the bladder under normal circumstances but when this wall weakens, it allows the bladder to droop and become prolapsed. This can lead to a wide range of medical problems such as urinary difficulties, stress incontinence (leakage of urine while coughing or sneezing), pain and discomfort, etc.

Prolapsed bladders are generally associated with menopause. Also known as cystoceles or fallen bladders, they are categorized into four different types depending on the extent to which the bladder has prolapsed.
Grade 1: This is the mild stage wherein a small portion of the bladder droops into the vagina.
Grade 2: This is the moderate stage in which the bladder droops far enough to reach the opening of the vagina.
Grade 3: This is when the condition becomes severe and the bladder protrudes from the body through the opening of the vagina.
Grade 4: This occurs when the bladder has completely prolapsed. The entire bladder protrudes outside the vagina and is normally associated with other forms of pelvic organ prolapse such as uterine prolapse (the sagging of the uterus from its normal spot) and rectocele (prolapse of the wall between the vagina and the rectum).

What are the causes of prolapsed bladders?
Following are the factors that lead to the condition of prolapsed bladders:

  1. Menopause: The vaginal walls are known to become weak upon the onset of menopause. This occurs because the body inhibits the production of oestrogen, the hormone that renders strength to the muscles of the vagina. As a result, the bladder is no longer supported by the vagina.
  2. Childbirth: The process of childbirth puts a tremendous amount of stress on the vagina and often leads to deterioration of the muscles of the vaginal wall. This in turn leads to the condition of prolapsed bladder.
  3. Straining: Anything that puts strain on the walls of the vagina can lead to this condition. This includes lifting heavy objects, chronic constipation, obesity, excessive coughing and sneezing or any other factor that damages the pelvic floor.

What are the symptoms of a prolapsed bladder?
Symptoms of a prolapsed bladder vary from case to case, depending on the category and extent of the condition. Some of the most commonly experienced symptoms of the condition are as follows:
Tissue sticking out of the vagina (that may be tender and/or bleeding)

  1. Frequent urge to urinate
  2. Urinary incontinence (unwanted leakage of urine)
  3. Pain during urination
  4. Pain during sex
  5. Frequent urinary tract and bladder infections
  6. Pain in the vagina, pelvis, lower abdomen or lower back
  7. Incomplete urination

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an urologist.

Does our type of food like veg non veg or oily spicy items in our daily diet affect our behaviour thinking or lead to mood swings?

Does our type of food like veg non veg or oily spicy items in our daily diet affect our behaviour thinking or lead to...
For more information you can read the book, Managing your Mind and Mood through Food, by Wurtman, J, Judith with Margaret Danbrot. Now we all know that we are what we eat. Various foods affect our moods and our health. Anything in excess will cause us harm and any deprivation too can do damage. Indian foods are very rich in nutrients and are always spiced to 'spice' us up. Vegetarian versus nonvegetarian foods also impact our mood and health. Foods that stimulate tryptophan and serotonin can also perk up your mood and thinking and slow down thinking and depress your mood, respectively. So, in any treatment plan, it is good to incorporate dietary considerations to both provide the necessary impetus and to also aid the medication and its effect.

I think Vision in operated eye is less than normal, in most cases Squinting eye has less vision& you were operated at 20 years of age& at this age improvement of vision is not possible with pleoptic treatment, so there is chances that it may again diverge if vision in operated eye is less. Complete treatment of squint is only possible below 10 years of age where there is chances of 100 percent recovery of binocular vision.
