For this you can go for following home remedy consumption of onions. Onions are great food for helping cleanse the lungs. Also you can go for one of the most powerful antioxidants is ginger. Adding ginger to your diet can have many positive health benefits. Ginger provides a strong tool for releasing toxins that are in the lungs. Consuming tea made from the ginger root can help facilitate easier breathing.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Diagnosis of hypertension in childhood requires repeated BP measurements

Hypertension should be confirmed based on three blood pressure measurements at separate clinical visits.

Normative BP percentiles are based upon data on gender, age, height, and blood pressure measurements from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and other population–based studies.

In a study initial BP measurement was normal (below the 90th percentile), pre–hypertensive (systolic or diastolic BP between the 90th or 95th percentile) and hypertensive (systolic or diastolic BP =95th percentile) in 82, 13, and 5 percent of children.

At follow–up, subsequent hypertensive measurements were observed in only 4 percent of the 10,848 children who had initial hypertensive values. In the cohort, the overall prevalence of hypertension was 0.3 percent.

1) You need to get an ECG, Echo, lipid profile and RFT done to find a cause of this high BP. 2) Your medications require better titration, so review with your cardiologist. 3) Start exercisining or yoga and gradually increase it to 30-40 mins a day. 4) quit smoking. 5) Avoid caffeine and too much of tea. 6) reduce excess salt from diet, whatever salt is required in cooking food is fine, but don't add salt, avoid eating pickles, namkeens, papad etc. 7) cut down on fried, fatty and packages food. 8) have atleast 8 hrs of sleep.

My mother is 71 years having bp now doctors are advising for knee replacement. Please advise for alternative. Will cold larser teartment resolve this. Looking forward for your early response.

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics

Not all patients of joint pain need surgery. Most of them can be managed without joint replacement. Physiotherapy along with medicines helps rule out diabetes, vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind)1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do knee exercises. Gradually develop your walking & standing stamina. It may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

What is the functions of kidney in human body, and also the heart,? please send the answer.
Kidneys function is to filter blood for toxins and hearts function is to receive impure blood to one side and send that blood to lungs for purification and than again receive that pure blood and send it to body tissue.

Dear lybrate-user, you seem to be getting obsessive thoughts related to your health and have some paranoid ideations - though they may be only related to your anxiety state. I suggest you meet a psychiatrist or a psychologist and sort out the thing. The BP is related only to the extent that anxiety state increase the tendency to have high BP; this applies to your headache and breathing trouble as well - so the first thing is to meet a psychologist and sort out your anxiety; if that is successful, but the symptoms remain, that 's when you should consider other causes.

Too much cholesterol in the blood can lead to cardiovascular disease. What you eat has a direct impact on your cholesterol level. In fact, a diet rich in fiber and other cholesterol-lowering foods may help lower cholesterol as much as statin medication for some people. Working with a registered dietitian and doctor is the key to develop and maintain a successful health program to manage it. I will inform you on how to make diet, lifestyle changes, make you understand instructions for taking medication because it won't work if you don't take it as directed. Consult privately for a holistic dietary therapy to solve your problems.

You maybe most probably suffering from gastritis or gastro esophageal reflux disease. You have to avoid spicy and fried foods. Also avoid junk food and fast food. If your problems are worse, you need to take an ecg and take medications.
