Hai lybrate-user, seeing into the menstrual irregularity along with your mother age, it suggest of peri menopausal symptoms. Usually women aged around 40 to 55 years have irregular menstruation leading to menopause means complete stoppage of menses. It marks the end of reproductive age of a women. Nothing to do, observe the changes, no menses for a year marks menopause.

Hello, Emergency contraceptive pills like unwanted 72 are meant for accidental pregnancy and not as a regular contraceptive method. You can not repeat it more thn twice a month or you can develop serious issues like uterine cancer too. Since you both are unmarried, its best to use condom. Condom has a better protection percentage thn Unwanted 72 as well.

U r clearly suffering from PCOD. With pcod, weight increases and menses comes irregular with hair growth. Mainstay of treatment of pcod is weight reduction. Try to bring ur weight to 70 kg. And maintain it. Along with that u can take metformin, which will help u in reducing weight. For preventing new facial hair growth u should be on 3-6 months course of Krimson.

Normally a man can do sex how many times in a day regularly. I am 29 year old and able to have sex with my wife once in a day, sometimes two. What should I do to cure it and with whom I should concern.

it depends on one's stamina and mood. Normally for a newly married couple sex once or twice a day is OK. Don't worry about this and no need to consult a doctor for that

Excessive production of prostaglandins is one of the major causes for most signs and symptoms of dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea is almost wholly due to this and may be due to a tight cervix, the mouth of the uterus. Such cases improve totally after a normal child birth due to stretching of the uterine musculature. Secondary dysmenorrhea, however, needs proper investigating into in order to know the causative pathology. The underlying pathology needs to be treated to control painful menses. Pain-killers can only offer temporary relief. The common causes of secondary dysmenorrhea are pelvic infections, congestive or inflammatory conditions within the pelvis like endometriosis, uterine tumors such as polyps or fibroids, and the presence of a foreign body such as an intrauterine contraceptive device [IUCD]. Homeopathy has a promising role to play in cases of dysmenorrhea. The medicines are known to reduce the severity of the pain as well as to treat the cause, whenever possible. Every patient with dysmenorrhea may present with a different set of individual symptoms, which are carefully noted while deciding the homeopathic line of treatment. Homeopathic treatment is strongly suggested. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

Hello if everything is normal, don't worry about the mode of delivering your baby. The most important thing is that mother and baby should be healthy after birth. Sometimes emergency surgery is done for wellbeing of mother and child.

Yes you can have a safe next pregnancy, before going for next pregnancy give a gap of at-least 5-6 so that you can recover from the weakness and gain uterine strength of next conception, till then take adequate nutritious diet with fruits vegetable and dairy products, also take iron and calcium tablets for 3 months to meet the deficiency from previous pregnancy.

Hi, I gave birth to baby boy in november 2014. Breastfeeding for my baby is very less. Giving external feed. How to increase my breastfeed. Please suggest.

MD - Paediatrics, MBBS
Pediatrician, Faridabad
Most important is being happy, frequent breast feeding, empty the breast every time. If you have to top feed then first breast feed then immidiately top feed, next time repeat it. If you breast feed and next feed is top feed then gradually your breast milk will decrease further. Fenugreek and zeera tab perinorm may help to increase the breast milk.
