Hello, I am using the Colgate toothpaste but my teeth colour is still yellow What can I do.

Hello, I am using the Colgate toothpaste but my teeth colour is still yellow What can I do.
Dear lybrate user, toothpastes contribute little to changing the natural color of teeth. Stained or yellow teeth can be whitened using other treatment options like bleaching, zoom whitening etc. You can also get professional cleaning/scaling of teeth done to get rid of the extrinsic stains. Avoid consuming excess tea & coffee (especially black tea and coffee).

The thought of taking RCT can be quite stressful. Don't worry though. Get a good night sleep before the treatment and you are sure to feel calmed down and fresh.

Hii lybrate-user, black discoloration of teeth is a sign of tooth decay/caries. This will not go with routine brushing. You need to visit a dentist to get it treated. Dentist will remove the decay and fill the cavity.

I am 16 year old male, my mouth smell foul whenever I take breath. What should I do?

BDS

I am 16 year old male, my mouth smell foul whenever I take breath. What should I do?
Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.
