First do the urine pregnancy test. Periods can be missed because of pregnancy or unwanted 72 or because of anxiety. If urine test negative you can wait or get one blood test beta hcg done .it is confirmatory test tov rule out pregnancy.

I am 29 years old female, married and have two kids. I have a solid lump in breast from five years. I keep getting an ultrasound for the same every 6 months-1 year. It has not changed. Recently, a radiologist suggested to remove it surgically. Should I consult an oncologist?

Most likely its not cancer But its better to get a FNAC (Biopsy) done. Then you can continue the same. No need to get it removed.

While massaging my body today I got something hard on the left on my breast. It's something like a lump, when I pressed it. I felt pain. Please tell me what is it? Is it something to worry about?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
It had to be fibroadenoma which unless large or causing pain, does not need to be removed. It is a benign tumour and very slow growing. If small then there is no treatment needed at present.

Vaginismus, sometimes called vaginism, is a condition that affects a woman's ability to engage in vaginal penetration, including sexual intercourse, manual penetration, insertion of tampons or menstrual cups, and the penetration involved in gynecological examinations (pap tests). I suggest you to consult a gynecologist for tests and treatment. Take care.

it is felt by most of girls few days before periods due to water retention caused by hormones. Reduce salt, take more potassium like oranges, lemon juice, amla, bananas and lots of water to flush out extra water present in entire body.

Does oral sex without any kind of protection consist any disease? Does licking private parts during foreplay also consist any side effects?

Hello, It usually does not cause problems unless you both are carrying infection of any sort in which case you could pass it on to each other..!

Your Body Is Burning Calories Even If You Are Not Working Out

Your Body Is Burning Calories Even If You Are Not Working Out

Did you know your body is constantly burning calories, even when you're not working out? And that watching television can actually lower your metabolism?

The body converts fat into energy, to fuel its functions and the calories stored in the body provide us with this energy. The level of fat-burning depends upon the type of activity being done. You burn more calories running around than just working at a desk, like taking stairs instead of lift, walking while taking on phone.

Nonetheless, the body is like a machine which needs an inexhaustible source of energy to run. So even when you’re at rest, you’re still burning calories.

So don't be lazy bumps. Even if you have a desk job or watching tv. Get up at frequent intervals for water break. Gear up. Keep your metabolism going.
