I gave easy six vaccine to my baby in 2.5 and 3.5 month. Previously I gave him hexaxim on 1.5 month. But now I heard from one doc that it is not recommended by WHO. And there is no evidence of its efficacy as there is no clinical trial. Is it true? I am really worried for my baby.

We do use easysix and it has undergone necessary quality and safety trials else it can not be in the medical market. Rest assured.

Hope she has not but if she has then we would check her heart rate and get ecg, monitor her vitals (heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature and bp) for 24 hours.

My son is 3 months old. His reducing substance test is positive and doctor has suggested us to give isomil to him and when I give breastfeed to him first I add 4 drops of yamoo drops. Now he passes stool little dense but there is a yogurt type smell from his stool. Doctor has suggested me to give zinc sulphate oral solution to him. Kindly suggest me in how much time my baby will be completely fine. Please tell me do I need to change my diet also.

Stool reducing substance being positive means lactose intolerance. I agree with the treatment. You can cut down lactose (milk) in your diet. Sometimes lactose intolerance settles on its own depending on severity. Some kids can tolerate some amount of milk but not too much. So you Will have to wait to see whats tolerable for your baby.

Its not essential to give pediasure or for that matter any health drink if your child is eating normally and is of appropriate weight and height. Just give normal full fat milk with small amount of sugar or dates syrup. You can add powdered badam/cashew powder.

Polio, BCG and Hepatitis are all different vaccinations. They should have mentioned it in your vaccination card whether its given. If you are still not sure better get another dose of the vaccination. There will no harm in giving extra dose even if it has been goven previously but do not miss vaccination.

What type of food is to be given for an 18 month old child to achieve WHO, Child Health Standard which is Height- 77.2-87.3, weight - 8.9-13.5 and head circumference 44.9-49.9. My 18 month's old child is having only height 76 cm, weight-8.8 kg and head circumference 41. 5 cm.

First of all, you have to understand every child is different. They grow upto their potential not upto WHO growth charts numbers. Any childs growth depends on nutrition as well as genetic and environmental factors. Your childs height seems reasonable but weight and HC are on the lower side. You need to make sure the childs nutrition is adequate by consulting a dietician, they can advice if any changes needed. Regarding HC being small, it could well be normal genetic but there are genetic disorders which can cause similar issues. Please consult for further evaluation and management.

His weight seems appropriate for his age. Babies pass gas when the milk they have digested produces gas depending on the food consumed by mother, so if you are consuming more gas forming foods, the baby will pass more gas. Since baby itself is fine, I do not think theres any major worry.

If its painful, red and swollen, use hot fomentation, paracetamol drops and visit your pediatrician to rule out infection or abscess. If its not painful, then hot fomentation for a few days with gentle massage would help.

After MMR, some infants develop mild rash resembling measles rash but severity of illness will be absent. I have not experienced any ear issues with MMR post vaccination. From your description its probably post vaccination rash but please visit your pediatrician to confirm the rash.

Better not to give them together. I take you are giving ambrolite for cough, continue with that and once cough is better give the deworming medicine.
