Dear lybrateuser, - Your chest pain could be due to soft tissue or bony problem - apply pain relief gel three times a day on the affected area, apply lightly, do not rub vigorously - take a pain relief tablet after meals if pain is more - do an x-ray chest to rule out any other problem.

You are suffering from a medical condition called GYNECOMASTIA. Gynecomastia is a common disorder of the endocrine system in which there is a increase in the size of male breast tissue.[3][4][a] Most adolescent boys, up to 70%,[6] have some breast development during puberty. Adolescent males often experience temporary gynecomastia due to the hormonal changes during puberty. The development of gynecomastia is usually associated with benign pubertal changes; in adolescent boys, the condition is often a source of psychological distress. However, 75% of pubertal gynecomastia cases resolve within two years of onset without treatment Mild cases of gynecomastia in adolescence may be treated with advice on lifestyle habits such as proper diet and exercise with reassurance. In more severe cases, medical treatment may be tried including surgical intervention.[12] Disturbances in the endocrine system that lead to an increase in the ratio of estrogens/androgens are thought to be responsible for the development of gynecomastia.[6] This may occur even if the levels of estrogens and androgens are both appropriate but the ratio is altered.[6] The disorder is usually diagnosed by a physician after a detailed history and physical examination. Conservative management of gynecomastia is often appropriate as the condition commonly resolves on its own. Medical treatment of gynecomastia that has persisted beyond two years is often ineffective.

I want to know what is tachycardia and what are the reasons of tachycardia attack. Is it possible just after 15 hours of kidney stone removal. What are the reason of BP low just after 15 hours of kidney stone removal and due to B P low blood transfusion required or not.

MS - General Surgery, MCh Urology
Urologist, Hyderabad

Respected Sir 1.Any stone removal surgery carries the risk of infection spreading into the main blood stream, leading to sepsis, which is the precise cause of tachycardia (increase in the pulse rate) and low blood pressure (hypotension). It is due to the release of endotoxins and bacteria from the stone into the blood stream. 2.Blood transfusion is not required and the sepsis can be tackled by ensuring sterile Urine culture prior to the stone surgery and the use of broad spectrum antibitotics in the perioperative and post operative period. Hope this helps Wishing you a speedy recovery Thanks.
