Take physiotherapy treatment and learn spinal exercise. Don't lift heavy things. Don't sit on floor. Increase intake of water. Drink 2 glass of milk. Take calcium ; multivitamin and vitamin d 3 for 2 month.

Physiotherapy usually helps in trigger finger. Otherwise a small operation under local anesthesia gives complete relief. You get 1-2 stitches.

I did see anyway you are a patient, why did you need immunity boost. Breastfeeding is good activity. It helps mother a lot in different ways. Whatever raw materials in food items you take like green vegetables, colourful salad with fruits, yogurt, milk and any dry fruits. If you would like to have supplements you can have folate, calcium, vitamins D3. But early morning sun bath is best.

I am 45 years old what should I do to keep myself fit like not getting problem of knee at later stage. What test I should go for as I am a daily drinker.

It's good that you are thinking of future. First thing will be to reduce your weight. Second thing will be over function tests and USG abdomen to see what damage has occurred due to daily drinking. Do regular exercises. If you are fit, you won't have problems.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as only problem. Since you are very young, if you have only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc in case you are having back pain. If you do not feel better with these measures in 2-3 weeks time, we will need to evaluate you further. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards

I am 39 years old male, I had minor compression fracture at (D12) spine and LS disc bulge. I have met with bike accident on may 2014, still then and there I have pain and I got this health issue diagnosed only by Feb 2015. Wait for 3 wks complete rest to shoulder in brace start mobilisation at 3 wks if painful or restricted get mri done.

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

My age is 30(male) years facing back pain(up side of hip) while I am standing from down to up after some time. Please suggest

Dear lybrate-user. Apply heat fermentation with any pain relief ointment to reduce pain. If your pain is severe take ultrasonic therapy.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Physiotherapy will give you a permanent relief if you will take complete session and precautions. Take cervical traction in interupetd mod hot fermentation, mfr, neck isometric exercises and trapezius stretching.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital X RAYS of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

1. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.
