I am 39 years old male I have mouth ulcer from last approx one year what I do please reply me.
There are so many causes of mouth ulcers like- -stress or tissue injury is thought to be the cause of simple mouth ulcers. -certain foods, including citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables (such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes and strawberries), can trigger a mouth ulcer. -sometimes a sharp tooth surface also trigger mouth ulcers. -some cases of complex mouth ulcers are caused by an underlying health condition, such as an impaired immune system; nutritional problems, such as vitamin b-12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency and gastrointestinal tract disease, such as coeliac disease and crohn's disease. You can take'becosule capsule' once in a day for 1 week for faster recovery. Temporarily you can apply mucopain gel over ulcer for relief.

Bad breath or halitosis Bad breath can be due- *Infections in gums, teeth or oral mucus of the mouth. * Sinusitis, nose block and tonsillitis will also cause this problem. *Dryness of mouth * If the teeth are crooked, ulcers may be caused and food particles may get stuck causing infection. *Eating and digestive disorders. *Dental plaque * Taking some medicines for other diseases. Taking care of your oral hygiene- •Use proper tooth brush and fluoride based tooth paste. Tongue cleaning is also very important. •Gargling your mouth after eating any food. •Avoid tobacco and smelly masala foods. •Treat underlying medical conditions •Crooked teeth to be corrected by braces at early age. Drink plenty of water and avoid dryness of mouth. **Homoeopathy has good treatment for your problem, without causing adverse effects. In my mouth I had a dot of white patch I mean mouth ulcer from. Four days please suggest me some tablets.
Mouth ulcers mouth ulcers can vary is size, shape and number. Mouth ulcers are self limiting, which means they heal naturally by themselves. The medications are only to ease the pain and burning sensation during the course of the healing. Please do not self prescribe any medications as it might at times delay the healing of the ulcer. Please visit the dentist to know exactly the type of the ulcer and its treatment. To ease the pain you cud by a topical anaesthetic gel and apply it before eating anything spicy. Try to reduce the stress, avoid long exposure to sunlight, avoid carbonated drinks and citrus fruits and juices containing citric acid, avoid lemon with food and keep urself hydrated. Please visit the dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment. I hope I have answered your question.

Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: - practice good oral hygiene. - brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. - don't forget to brush the tongue, too. - replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. - use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. - see your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. - drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. - chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

10 tips to look after your teeth
Good oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist will help you maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Here are some tips to help you look after your teeth.
1. Brush at least twice a day. The best time to brush teeth is after meals. Choose a
toothbrush with a small head for better access to back teeth. Soft bristles are kinder on
your gums.
2. Use fluoridated toothpaste. Fluoride helps to harden tooth enamel and reduces your risk
of decay.
3. Brush thoroughly. Tooth brushing should take between two and three minutes.
4. Floss your teeth daily. Use a slow and gentle sawing motion.
5. Limit acidic drinks like soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices. Food acids soften tooth
material and dissolve the minerals in tooth enamel, causing holes (cavities or caries). In
severe cases, teeth may be ‘eaten’ right down to the gum.
6. Limit sugary foods. Bacteria in dental plaque change sugars into acids.
7. Protect your teeth from injury. Wear a mouthguard or full-face helmet when playing
sports.
8. Try to save a knocked out tooth. If possible, hold the tooth back in place while you seek
immediate dental advice. If this is not possible, wrap the tooth in plastic or place it in milk
and seek dental advice immediately.
9. Avoid using your teeth for anything other than chewing food. If you use them to
crack nuts, remove bottle tops or rip open packaging, you risk chipping or even breaking
your teeth.
10. See your dentist for regular check-ups.

Go to a dentist for thorough check up and x ray. By this we can plan for your treatment. Mostly you have to go for scaling and polishing first. If required you can go ahead with periodontal therapy

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. Kindly consult a physician & dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

If you have diabetes, make sure you take care of your mouth. People with diabetes are at risk for mouth infections, especially periodontal (gum) disease. Periodontal disease can damage the gum and bone that hold your teeth in place and may lead to painful chewing problems. Some people with serious gum disease lose their teeth.
