Hello Lybrate User, Bad breath is also known as Halitosis, foul smelling odor that seems to come from the mouth cavity. Dry mouth, certain foods such as Onion and garlic because they contain smelly sulfur compounds., poor dental hygiene are few causes of bad breath. Self care technique can help to minimize bad breath, these techniques are as follows - * use oral care products, like mouthwashes and toothpastes. * proper oral care, brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day and use fluoride toothpaste. * stimulate your salivary flow - prevent dry mouth with chewing gum or mints. * eat fibrous fruits and vegetables. * Brush your teeth occasionally with baking soda. * stop smoking. * Drink plenty of water. * Take a dietary supplement - Vitamin C, D, E and B help to eliminate excess mucus and toxins naturally. * Avoid alcohol. i. Clean your tongue daily. Along with that take Homeopathic treatment, the natural homeopathic remedies for bad breath, which are completely safe and no side effects. Homeopathic remedies provide a permanent treatment for bad breath. For homeopathic treatment consult me on lybrate privately. Take care.

Hi,
I have fluorosis. I feel embarrass when I smile. please suggest something to get rid of this problem.
Visit a dentist. The method of acidic micro abrasion, followed by remineralisation procedures, assures a considerable recovery of the dental surfaces affected by fluorosis. Best way is capping or veneers for upper front 6 teeth & lower front 6 teeth. Until then use tooth mousse tooth paste. Apply this paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

If you hav developed pain in that rct treated tooth then you hav to visit a dentist, do xray of that tooth. If everything comes fine, then only immediately go for capping. If the treated tooth comes problematic, then go for retreatment or extraction followed by capping or implant.

You can go to a dentist and get the filling done for the cavity in tooth. If your height is 5 ft (152 cm) & weight 55 kg, your Body Mass Index (BMI) will be 24 kg/m2. Smart BMI (SBMI) will be 43 /70. Shows slight overweight. (SBMI will take age, gender, height & weight for calculation) Normal range is 30/70- 39/70 As per these values, there is no need for you to gain weight. Maintain your weight between 50- 52 kg for better health.

I chew gutkha therefore there is a brown tar in my teeth. How should I remove it.
Firstly stop the Gutkha as it can be dangerous to your body. The stain will slowly go away after you stop the habit. You can also go to a dentist to check for oral health and cleaning of the stain.

Hi.
I'm near about 20 year old.
My teeth effective from cavity.
It show high sensitivity.
A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. I have pulp polyp. Went to a dentist. She said that its in my molar (deciduous tooth) she said that its my milk tooth...
The pulp polyp is remedied by curetting the new connective tissue mass from the pulp holding cell and also carrying out endodontic therapies on the remaining tooth root structures, assuming the interradicular ground remains undamaged. Extraction can be an accepted remedy alternative. There is absolutely no malignant change and the lesion is not going to automatically regress. Leaving a pulp polyp without treatment can lead to a number of problems. Contamination of the adjoining gingival tissue mass and also abscess could appear. The harmful bacteria might spread to additional healthy teeth leading to other cavities to create, leading to the requirement for more dental treatments. Finally, the teeth might end up being too affected to restore and the impacted teeth might have to be removed.

I felt in an bike accident on 3 years back. At that time my 3 teeth has broken, on of the tooth has broken half and had root canal treatment to it. Now am planning to replace my broken teeth. Is bridge replacement is better for me or implantation? Amd what will be the cost for each of the treatment. Please reply me. My age is 22. This became a big problem for me :-(.

If you have root canal treatment done, why do you want to extract your tooth. If there is a problem with root canal, then go for re rct or apicectomy whatever your dentist suggests. And take a crown over RC treated tooth for looks. Go for E max if you want excellent esthetics, but try to be with your real tooth, dont get them extracted
