Few days ago my anal starting bleeding when I went for shit. During bowel it started bleeding. Now it is not bleeding but it hurts every time I shit And also hurts thereafter. It hurts right in the opening and the surrounding area. Please help I am in desperate need.

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery

Your problem looks like fissure in ano or anal piles or both. Physical examination by a general surgeon will confirm the diagnosis. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon. He will decide whether surgery is required or not, depending on the condition and its stage.

I am recommending you an following remedy which will surely help you 1. Take 60 gm kidney beans 2. Add 4 L of water 3. Heat for 4-5 hr 4. Strain the liquid through a fine muslin cloth 5. Allow the liquid to cool 6. Drink 1 glass of this liquid once every 2 hr in a day 7. Do this for a week 8. Do not use the liquid or the beans again 24 hr after the 1st preparation Causes: • Crystallisation of chemicals and minerals present in urine leads to kidney stones surely you will get results.

Mr. Lybrate-user, if you have diabetes, then first thing is to get your blood sugar level under excellent control - fasting closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg and hba1c%<7. Because hyperglycemia causes damage to kidney leading to increase microalbumin uria and later albumin uria. A properly balanced diet is required, avoiding sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks and high fat milk products. Consume a good deal of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits. Most important is strict blood sugar control. Thanks.

Urinary Problems In Men - 3 Treatment Methods

DNB (Urology), MS - General Surgery, MBBS

Urinary Problems In Men - 3 Treatment Methods

The prostate gland is a male reproductive organ at the base of the urinary bladder and urethra is a thin tube that carries urine out of the penis. It runs through the prostate gland. A fluid produced by this gland helps to carry sperms produced by the testes outside during intercourse.

Cause of urinary problems in men:

Men experience urinary symptoms either due to inflammation of the prostate gland or prostatitis or symptoms may be the result of a blockage of the passage due to enlargement of the prostate gland.

Symptoms of urinary problems:

1. The need to urinate frequently during the night.

2. Urinating more often during the day.

3. Urinary urgency is the urge to urinate can be so strong and sudden that one may not reach the toilet in time.

4. The urine stream is slow to start.

5. Urine dribbling for some time after finishing urination.

6. A sensation that the bladder is not fully emptied after urination.

7. A lack of force to the urine flow, which makes directing the stream difficult.

8. The sensation of needing to go again soon after urinating

Treatment:

1. A long course of antibacterial medication (for bacterial prostatitis) is prescribed, because infection is difficult to get rid of, the antibacterial medication will need to be taken for many weeks.

2. Medication to improve urine flow and other symptoms (for obstruction caused by an enlarged prostate).

3. Surgical procedures (for blockage caused by an enlarged prostate), such as Transurethral Resection of the prostate(TURP), Laser Resection of prostate, Transurethral Incision of the prostate(TUIP).

UroLift: A new method of treatment for men, where medication has not been successful, but their prostates are not so enlarged that they need more invasive surgery. It involves the Transurethral Insertion of staples to separate the lobes of the prostate. It has minimal side effects and preserves ejaculatory and erectile function.

A number of other procedures that have been developed to reduce urinary symptoms.

Medication for urinary problems:

1. Medications to reduce the tone of the muscles of the urethra and prostate to minimize any obstruction to urine flow caused when these muscles contract.

2. Medication to reduce the size of the prostate gland. These drugs work by blocking the action of male hormones produced by the prostate gland.

3. Medications to relax the bladder, making unwanted contractions less likely and reducing the symptoms of urgency and frequency of urination.

4. Over-the-counter medicine 'Saw Palmetto' (Serenoa repens) is used sometimes. This may help some men, especially if frequent urination at night is a problem. However, recent reviews of the evidence for using Saw Palmetto as a treatment for mild or moderate urinary symptoms did not show any improvement compared to no treatment, in men with BPH. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.

Taking medicines is not enough. Is your diabetes (blood sugar) in control? what is your hba1c level? localized itching is often caused by uncontrolled diabetes. It can be caused by a yeast (fungal) infection, dry skin, or poor circulation. When poor circulation is the cause of itching, the itchiest areas may be the lower parts of the legs. You may be able to treat itching yourself. First, control your blood sugar levels. Second, limit your showers or baths to no more than 10 minutes, pat dry, and moisturize while your skin is still damp.

I had a surgery last month for kidney stones but I am still experiencing pain why.

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

I had a surgery last month for kidney stones but I am still experiencing pain why.
Take plenty of water 5 litres per day. Pain may be due to surgical sutures so don't get tense. Avoid taking cabbage, cauliflower, spinach cooked with tomato. Drink plenty of water. If small nonspecific stones present it comes out through urine .so don't worry.
