I am 53 years old, my both arms paining while I lift are move up and down. Some times it pains continually with out lifting arm, I am ex-soldier joined army at the age of 17 years, now I retired. Rest must avoid strain do heat fermentation and apply pain relief ointment after relief do strecting exercise of spine and legs if comfortable then continue more otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment.

Dr. Main kafi time se backache se pareshan hu. Ye regularly whole day bana rehta he. Na bethte banta he aur na hi lette hue. Pehle karib one year ago mene Dr. Se consult kiya tha tab mere vitamin d ki kami aayi thi so after treatment backache me kafi improvement ho gaya. But aajkal phir se kafi dard shuru ho chuka he. So me ye janna chah raha tha ki mujhe phir se wahi treatment lena hoga. Ya is backache ka koi reason bhi ho sakta he. So kindly consult with appropriate medicines. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of pain in lower back region. It can be due to faulty posture, related to weak muscles, issues with intervertebral disc, narrowing of spinal canal, any bony instability besides many other, so accurate diagnosis is the key to proper management of the condition. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. . Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart..

Hi! Seems that you have injured yourself a lot. Ligament injury is graded into 3 degrees. 1st is complete tear of the ligament, which solution is Surgery. 2nd and 3rd grade injuries are partial tears which can be managed with immobilisation of the involved joint, no weight bearing, rest, Cold packs and definetely PHYSIOTHERAPY. No other alternative other than exercises. Meet an orthopaedician to the earliest.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 1 wk, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

It is called muscle cramps. In such case I would advise you to take some precautions and start taking the physio treatment to get it completely cured. Take some alum mix in hot water and take fermentation thrice a day along with calf stretching and strengthening exercises. Make a habit of brisk walking daily for 20-25 min atleast. This will give you some percent of relief. Start exercises one or two days after hot fermentation do no start immediately. Make sure not to sit in one position for long time with knee bending. Avoid prolong standing as gravity creates a downward flow so you may face pain. So avoid against gravity positions. Using your thumb massage your calf area as it will increase pump action and release all toxins from your body by reducing pain and gives you relaxation for any doubt please contact. Regards.

Hi looks like you have restless legs syndrome (rls) kindly rule out iron deficiency, diabetes. It can also be due to peripheral neuropathy alcohol and sleep deprivation. Treatment * begin a regular exercise program, *establish a regular sleep patterns, and *eliminating or decreasing the use of caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco, may be helpful. *leg massages *apply hot baths or heating pads or ice packs to the legs do reply for detail treatment plan. Hi, since 5yrs. You r having knee pain means something is wrong with you r knee. First of all you have to visit orthopaedic doctor to rule out what causing you the knee pain. Is it ligament injury. Tear. Capsule. Involved or not or something else at the same time continue with you r knee stregthning excs. Take care.

Lybrate-user ji. Looking to your prblm. Your weight is much more than wht you should have according to your height. You can hv a maximum wt of 74 kg. So try nd reduce your wt by 18-19 kgs. You may also b hving some arthritis due to your age. As cartilage of your knee must b damaged. Nd to rejuvunate it you need to take some medicines. For that you need to consult me privately. Nd yes as far as possible do not use staircase till you reduce your wt to 74 kg. Do not bend your knee for more than 90 degree. I mean stop using indian toilets nd use western toilets. Use dining table for taking lunch or dinner. I mean do not sit on the floor.
