The thought of undergoing RCT can cause anxiety and stress. Get a good night sleep before the RCT as it will help to reduce anxiety and will also help in maintaining your overall well being.

You can visit any general dentist for a routine check up and the sore itself will get healed. You can take symptomatic medication like oral ulcer gel and multivitamin.

I have been suffering from gum infection and pain and I cant eat hard food please suggest medicine to releive from gum pain.

PG Fellowship In Microdentistry, BDS
Dentist, Thane
Gum pain is usually due to presence of tartar around the teeth and gums, it is suggested that you get a periodic cleaning done and if required medicine will be prescribed by your treating dentist upon examination. For temporary relief you can use brufen 400 mg but visit a dentist soon and get the required treatment done.

Hai lybrate-user. U should have consulted the Oral and maxillofacial surgeon immediately after the injury itself, he would have come up with a solution that time. The bones might have healed in wrong position. However consult with Oral and maxillofacial surgeon immediately.

Dear Lybrate User, Nothing to be worried of. Just keep sipping plenty of water throughout the day and chew on some sugarfree chewing-gum (like Orbit or Happydent), 2-3 times a day. The weather these days is quite sultry and often humid so that could cause such problems. Meanwhile, just get a random blood sugar test done. If need be after that, go in for a fasting and post-prandial test. Get yourself examined by your local dentist at the soonest possible.

I had root canal in my childhood, it was fine until I noticed some pain there, when I went to the dentist she removed the cap and then the pain went away, I felt some sensitivity but it's fine now, nobody could figure out the cause of pain and sensitivity, now they are saying to cut some gum for crowning to better place the cap, is it advisable?

Get your cap fixed temporarily first. If no pain & sensitivity then get it permanently fixed. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning or a re root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Yes whitening toothpastes do whiten tooth. Chemical ingredients do more better than herbal. See a dentist before prolong use. Bottled water is better for anyone for general health than for teeth.

Brushing at night is a must. If any food remains ,mouth will smell in the morn. Yes smell can come from stomach too. If you r fasting or not had water for long hours or during cold. Try to rinse with mouthwash at such times. Get your scaling n polishing done every 6 months to maintain good oral hygiene.

The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

I am suffering from blood blister on my tongue. Please suggest me medicine n precautions.

BDS
Dentist, Vadodara
Blisters could be due to some sharp edges of tooth around tongue. If that is the case I would advice you to get it checked and smoothen the sharp edges from the teeth. It is possible its not a blister at all, in which case it would be helpful to get more information.
