Your doctor is right about many things but I recommend that you meet with a counselor too. That person will teach you a lot of skills and techniques to deal with yoru problem along with the help of the medication. Anxiety has all to do with fear and your inability (or so you would tend to think) to handle the same. Fear is based on looking too much into the future and imagining things that usually do not tend to happen (usually 90% of your fears will not happen). You need to change your perception of the fearful stimulus then you can change your response to the fear. The first one is the best and will preempt the need for the second. If you are already far gone into the reaction mode, then you need both responses to counter the attack. The way we see things in life (like half empty or half full glass) is very dependent on our attitude. Attitude may have developed over many years but fortunately can change in a matter of sustained choices made and acted up on now. Accordingly you choose to see things as either threatening or as an opportunity. The opportunist will be positive and work with the situation to make good out of it. The individual who sees it as threatening, will, out of fear, try to avoid/run away from the situation or react with anxiety. Yes, self-belief does impact it too, but you can see that prior to that, perception will tarnish the belief system too. Here, you can see that all the resolution lies in just changing your perception/attitude, even if it is against odds. Changing your response, despite the perception, is building up of your reserves and resources to handle any contingency that life throws up at you. And life throws up situations quite regularly and heavily. For this you need to develop a fit mind and body: The former, by meditation and mind exercises; and the later, by exercises and proper diet. You need good sleep too. Included in the development of the mind is the handling of emotions, in your case, fear. These changes will give you a handle on life and your perceptions and responses. Prayer is really powerful, if you are a spiritual person. Repeat some personally framed affirmations that are geared to calming you down and building confidence. Do a personality course too. Anything that develops you personally will be of great assistance in building resilience.

How can we save ourself from fever like malaria dengue and so on made by climate change?

How can we save ourself from fever like malaria dengue and so on made by climate change?
Following tips for Prevention of Dengue fever : 1. Turn over empty pails and buckets, so that they do not collect excess water. If the container that contains water cannot be emptied, remember to cover it well when not in use. 2: Remember to clean out empty flower pots and not to over water potted plants. It is advised to not have any stagnant water around as it acts as breeding ground for the mosquitoes. 3: Apply mosquito repellents on all exposed areas, during the day as well as at night on a regular basis to prevent dengue. 4: Make sure your window and door screens do not have any holes. If so, block those areas properly to eliminate mosquitoes. 5: If someone at home is ill with dengue, try to not let the mosquitoes bite them or others in the house. 6: sleep under a mosquito net (especially small children as they sleep during the day and hence, the chance of mosquito bite is high during this time). 7: If you use a cooler remember to empty out and clean the water tray regularly, even when not in use. 8: Always cover your dustbin when not in use. 9: A natural method to keep mosquitoes at bay is to plant Tulsi near your window. The plant has properties that do not allow mosquitoes to breed. 10: Using camphor as a repellent also works wonders. Light camphor in a room and close all the doors and windows. Leave it this way for about fifteen to twenty minutes to have a mosquito free environment we can prevent Malaria by prevention mosquito bite A bite from a parasite-infected mosquito causes malaria. Reducing exposure to mosquitoes Spraying your home. Treating your home's walls with insecticide can help kill adult mosquitoes that come inside. Sleeping under a net. Covering your skin. During active mosquito times, usually from dusk to dawn, wear pants and long-sleeved shirts. You can use Ultrasonic mosquito repellent available in market

Are the chances of B.P.is more in diabetic patients. What should be the normal range of B.P. In 60 age old.

Are the chances of B.P.is more in diabetic patients. What should be the normal range of B.P. In 60 age old.
Mr. Lybrate-user, that bp and diabetes are found together in cases of weight gain and abdominal fat gain is known but it is not that they are not found individually independent of each other. Having them together along with weight gain / abdominal fat gain and having disturbed lipids would qualify a person to be labelled as metabolic syndrome. Yes, there are other complications and not only the risk of heart problems and stroke and kidney diseases go up having these two together, the problems get compounded and seriously hamper the quality of life for the sufferer. The dietary and lifestyle measures to control these and to avoid attendant complications are more or less overlapping: go for plant based whole foods + moderate level of daily activity + avoid processed foods, packaged foods, animal foods, restaurant foods. Try meditation and yoga and relaxation exercises. They do bring good benefits. Best wishes,

Hello Turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a facepack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. Lemon juice and glycerin work nicely for dry skin whereas fuller’s earth and turmeric are used for oily skin.

Anger- 5 Ways to Control It!

Anger- 5 Ways to Control It!

When you’re in a situation where your opinions are criticized or put down, it is very easy to respond with anger. You feel like doing the same to the other person. But this is not the way to solve your problems. In fact, it only makes the situation worse. Not only will the other person not listen to you, they will respond back with anger and neither of you will be able to solve the issue at hand. Therefore, it is important to know some ways in which you can control your anger.

Here are a few ways in which you can control your anger:

1. Avoid criticizing:

When in an argument and you feel your anger rising, try not to criticize the other person. Instead try to tell them how you feel. Try using statements like “I feel like you don’t clean” rather than saying “You are always messy.” Telling them how you feel, instead of criticizing, opens up communication channels and reduces the chance of them refuting your opinion.

2. Exercise:

Physical activity can help reduce stress which may be causing your anger. Going for a brisk walk or a run can help reduce this stress. In fact, engaging in any physical activity or sports can help reduce stress and anger.

3. Take a time out:

Give yourself small breaks during the day. Take some time to relax and breathe. Sitting in silence and doing nothing can help your anger subside. This also helps in dealing with future stressful or triggering situations.

4. Think before you speak:

In the heat of the moment it is possible to say something which you do not mean. To avoid this, think about what you want to say before you say it. This way, you can avoid the issue escalating and not let your anger take control of the situation.

5. Know when to seek help:

When you know your anger and frustration are causing harm to others or to yourself, know that it is time to seek help from a professional. They can help you manage your anger through more techniques and therapy.
