Ayurvedic Management Modules To Treat Diabetes

Diabetes is an abnormal condition where the sugar-level in humans are higher than usual. Ayurveda can be used efficiently in treating this condition. Madhumeha is the Ayurvedic term for diabetes. In Indian terms, diabetes is known to the common man as Prameha, which is said to be divided into 3 major types – Kapha, Pitta and Vata. Lack of exercise and intake of food having excess of snigdha, ushna and guru types are said to be the chief cause of prameha.

Along with drugs and medications, Ayurveda stresses on the importance of a balanced diet and exercise. The management modules that can be categorized are:

  1. Vyaayam (Exercise)
  2. Panchakarma (Procedures for Bio-purification)
  3. Pathya (Regulation in diet)
  4. The use of therapy (Medications)

The individual’s constitution highly affects the ayurvedic treatment of prameha. Some of them are:

  1. Obstruction in srothus
  2. Ahara and Vihara
  3. Dosha predominance of disease
  4. Hereditary factors
  5. The prakrithi of the patient
  6. Manasika Prakrithi
  7. Dooshya vitiation

Management of diabetes can be done using a variety of herbs. Some of them are:

  1. Vjaysar
  2. Eugenia jambolana (Jamun beej churna)
  3. Pterocarpus marsupium (Vijaysar churna)
  4. Ficus bengalensis (Nyagrodha twaka churna – banyan tree bark)
  5. Shilajeet
  6. Momordica chirantia Karvellaka (Karella – Bitter Gourd)
  7. Kirat tikata (Chirayata)
  8. Emblica officinalis (Amla)

It is possible that certain patients are unable to respond to insulin or hypoglemic medicines. In this case, an ayurvedic physician may prescribe some ayurvedic drugs such as:

  1. Dhatri Nisha
  2. Chandraprabha vati
  3. Vasant kusumakar rasa

Diabetes is not just a lack of insulin. It is the most probable cause is plain poor maintenance of your body. Its cure will need to include all of these things discussed. By doing all, diet, herbs, exercise and stress management, you can certainly take care of your Diabetes.

Role Of Homeopathy In Managing Hypothyroidism!

Role Of Homeopathy In Managing Hypothyroidism!

As we age, we may get a lot wiser and experienced; however, the down-side of gaining knowledge and experience is that we also have to face a lot of health issues and troubles. Problems related to hormones and glands become common as we grow older, and one amongst the most common problems is hypothyroidism. This is a problem that affects the thyroid gland, which is located around the throat region, and is commonly found in women. When the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones or is underactive, you may be diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

The lack of activity in the thyroid gland may lead to a number of other issues such as lowering of metabolism and the disturbance of immunity in the body. The problem of slow thyroid may alsoarise because of the lack of iodine in the body, and in any case, it is important to bring the issue under control so that a healthy lifestyle may be achieved.

Homeopathy and hypothyroidism
One of the best ways to be able to deal with lifestyle and hormone diseases is to opt for homeopathic treatment. Homeopathy is the branch of medicine that usesnatural means and products to treat health issues; the biggest and most stubborn of diseases are known to be treated with the help of this stream of medication. The same holds true for hypothyroidism because it is found that the most effective way to treat this problem is through the use of homeopathic medicines.

Since there are a lot of medicines that can be used for treating hypothyroidism through homeopathy, the medicines that are prescribed by medical practitioners are segregated on the basis of the symptoms or the effects of the problem, such as the following:

  1. You may be prescribed homeopathy medicines for hypothyroidism if you are experiencing excessive weight gain, which is one of the main symptoms of this condition. In such cases, you may be given medicines that help in controlling not only weight gain issues but also issues of lowered hormone secretion.
  2. A lot of homeopathy experts also suggest medicines that are exclusively developed for women who experience menstrual issues due to hypothyroidism, which also happens to be a common occurrence.
  3. The tolerance for cold in a lot of people is also affected due to the presence of hypothyroidism, which may require a different type of treatment or medication in the field of homeopathy.
  4. Many also suffer from issues such as constipation and hair fall which are generally connected to the symptoms of hypothyroidism, and the homeopathic medicines prescribed by doctors may help in tackling such symptoms.

While it may be wise to choose homeopathy as your preferred stream of medicine when hypothyroidism is diagnosed, it is also important to make sure that the best and the most experienced doctors in the arena are chosen for getting the most effective treatment.

I am having thyroid. TSH is 10.64 and T3 is 210. Also I am highly overweight. Kindly help me with diet plans and exercises or yoga.

Diet and exercise are beneficial in general, but exercise and diet will not help you in hypothyroidism- to control or cure it Your thyroid gland may be tiny, but it plays a big role in how well your body functions. That's because the thyroid produces a hormone that regulates your metabolism, the process that converts what you eat and drink to energy. When you have hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid, your metabolism slows, causing you to gain weight more easily and feel sluggish and fatigued. Too little thyroid hormone also can mean too much bad fat, or LDL cholesterol, in your bloodstream. The thyroid hormone helps the liver break down the cholesterol circulating in your blood and stimulates other enzymes needed to rid your body of triglycerides, another type of blood fat. When you don't have enough thyroid hormone, your LDL and triglycerides can rise. "The most important thing you can do for hypothyroidism is to see your doctor and get on the right dose of thyroid hormone, Regular exercise is an important part of your overall strategy to manage many hypothyroidism symptoms. Exercise burns calories to prevent weight gain and can counter the effects of your sluggish metabolism. A good workout can also be a mood-booster — while you exercise, your body releases endorphins and other mood-enhancing chemicals.

Yes, your sugar levels are normal Frequent urination can be a symptom of many different problems from kidney disease to simply drinking too much fluid. When frequent urination is accompanied by fever, an urgent need to urinate, and pain or discomfort in the abdomen, you may have a urinary tract infection. Other possible causes of frequent urination include: Diabetes. Frequent urination with an abnormally large amount of urine is often an early symptom of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes as the body tries to rid itself of unused glucose through the urine. Pregnancy. From the early weeks of pregnancy the growing uterus places pressure on the bladder, causing frequent urination. Prostate problems. An enlarged prostate can press against the urethra (the tube that carries urine out the body) and block the flow of urine. This causes the bladder wall to become irritable. The bladder begins to contract even when it contains small amounts of urine, causing more frequent urination. Interstitial cystitis. This condition of unknown cause is characterized by pain in the bladder and pelvic region. Often, symptoms include an urgent and/or frequent need to urinate.
