Hi. No dear you need to change your diet plan. Your BMI (Body mass index) is high its 27 so need to reduce some weight also. Do not go empty stomach for exercise take good fats like almond 4-5 ps before you are leaving. Avoid fried food for calories & cholesterol take veg soup or normal veg curry with 2ps rooti. At lunch try salads, Chicken/ fish/ soybean any one of them for protein. Limit your rice intake or rooti for low carbohydrate. At eve no fast food you can take. Try sprouts. Every day one fresh fruit you need to take. At dinner limit your rooti intake. So, for weight management limit your carbs intake like rooti, rice, maida, basan, sweets. Thanks.

Hi, Include whole grain cereals, legumes and pulses, vegetables, fruits, Whole milk and other dairy products, lean meat, fish, egg. Avoid refined flour, red meat, oily and fat foods, junk food, sugary foods, alcohol, butter, ghee. Stay hydrated all the time. You have to do exercise/ workout in order to get rid of extra calories if any. For your post workout meal include oats with milk, paneer, skin out chicken (stewed preferably), fish (salmon, mackerel, tuna), eggs, sprouts, quinoa as they all are rich in protein. Consider taking olive oil, almonds, dry dates, raisins, green tea as they help you relieve your stress and build up strength and immunity. You can go with any one of the above according to your wish list. Its better a take a pre-workout snack which consists of carbohydrate, it can be a fruit, a breakfast cereal in a limited quantity, milkshake without excess sugar. You can change it accordingly but you have to see that the options are healthy and mind your portions.

What type of food should I get for best body building results. And I want to gain upto 80 kg. With good muscles.

Food items with good source of protein will give you muscle mass. If you are regular in exercise then include good amount of protein with your daily food intake. 'Protein source: Egg, Chicken, Fish, Mutton, Beef, milk, all pulses, legumes and beans' Before one hour of your exercise take food items with good amount of protein and energy (Fruit milk shakes, Mix nuts shake, Home made protein bars etc). Avoid fatty foods before exercise, and start your exercise with one glass of water, in between exercise sips the water and after exercise once your heart rate come to normal take sufficient water. Also after exercise eat protein rich foods. According to your convenience arrange the food intake and exercise and in between food intake don't put more gap, try to keep minimum 2.5 hrs and maximum 3 hrs. Don't stick with particular type of food. Include all different colors of vegetables and fruits, cereals and millets. Arrange your exercise with your trainer, don't concentrate a particular muscle.

Inspite of proteinx powder, you can alter your diet for weight gain - Eat foods that are rich in calories like pulses, cereals, meat, bread, rice, dry fruits, and nuts. You can also follow by adding vegetables like French beans, broccoli, Chinese cabbage, carrots, lettuce, spinach, asparagus, pumpkins, and eggplants to your diet. Add a healthy portion of red meat to your diet too if you are non vegetarian. But keep in mind not to overdo it. The aim is to add weight, not cholesterol! You can even add olive oil in generous quantities to your salads. Another way to add calories to your diet is by increasing the consumption of dairy products. Don’t cut back on the fat content in your milk. Do not ask for low-fat curd, paneer, cheese, at the store. Make sure you consume a full calorie dairy product. DIET CHART TO GAIN WEIGHT - Breakfast: • One, big glass of orange juice or banana shake • A bowl of oatmeal to which dried nuts like almonds, walnuts and raisins are added—using skimmed or low-fat milk and some sugar • 2-3 whole eggs, scrambled or boiled if non- vegetarian • 2-3 slices of multi-grain bread coated with a bit of butter Pre-Lunch/Mid-day Snack: A bowl of yogurt made from low-fat milk Or A few granola bars that are fortified with raisins and sesame seeds Or Whole fruits like apples or chiku or mango Lunch: • At least one form of animal meat like chicken or meat, i.e. One to two servings.(if non- vegetarian) • 4-5 rotis made from whole wheat or multi-grain flour, smeared slightly with ghee. • A big bowl of dal • A cup full of boiled rice • If eating meats is a problem, supplement it with cottage cheese made from tofu or low-fat milk Early Evening Snack: The better choice is a glass of low-fat milk to which an energy-inducing mix has been added. You can choose from a variety of malted mixtures. Try to add more of the malted mix rather than using synthetic sugar. You can use a few high-fiber biscuits or cookies to dip and munch upon. Dinner Options for Gaining Weight Dinner needs some planning since you need to end your day on a calorie high. You should combine at least one type of green vegetable along with a dal or a serving of chicken or fish with some gravy. It is better to have more of rice for dinner rather than rotis from the perspective of gaining weight. Ensure you ask the person cooking meals to use lentils with higher calorie content. This includes black grams and kidney beans. Options for Post-Dinner Snack • A few bites of dark chocolate with high cocoa content • A smoothie of fruits and yogurt • Fruits like strawberries, apples, mangoes or grapes I hope the above diet chart will help you. We have good medicines in homeopathy to gain weight. For further details, consult us or book an online appointment.

Hi, make sure that you are eating the right food at the right time. Intake of whole grain cereals and pulses, fruits and vegetables, whole milk and other milk products like paneer, yoghurt, lean meat, skin out chicken, fish (trout, sardine, salmon, tuna), eggs keeps you charged with energy all the time. It's a fitness related question! I perform martial arts and a gym goer, I have a fit physique but what I would like to know is how to get or make muscles solid. I mean how to make them extremely hard. Are there food that can help it certain kinds of exercise. would like your advice on that. One last thing I am a eggeterian:)
Masters in Nutritional Therapy, bachelor of Bio chemistry
Small weight with more repetition will give endurance and high weight with limited repetition will increase the muscle strength' This is the normal formula of exercise. With exercise include sufficient protein rich sources (Egg, Milk, all pulses, legumes and beans) with food. One hour before exercise take easily digestible energy rich food items (Fruits milk shakes, Mix nuts milk shakes, home made protein bars etc) after exercise also take foods with good sources of protein. Protein will help you to build new cells and with regular exercise you will get strong muscles.
