Benefits Of Homeopathic Treatment

B.Sc, BHMS
Homeopath, Lucknow

Homeopathy is a medical system which is popular for the treatment of chronic and recurring diseases of all types such as skin diseases, joint diseases, auto-immune diseases, etc. It is also popular for the treatment of acute diseases such as colds and flues, throat and lung infections, aches, pains, and injuries, diarrhea, dysentery, and more. It is not usually indicated for critical diseases such as severe infections such as malaria, pneumonia, tuberculosis, heart or kidney failures, accidents, etc.

The major benefits with homeopathy could be listed as under:
1.    Effective
2.    Gives lasting relief
3.    Free from side effects

1. Effective:
Homeopathy, especially, is very effective for the treatment of chronic diseases of long standing. And, for those diseases which keep on re-appearing after every few days, months or years. Effectiveness of homeopathy in recurring diseases such as migraine, allergies, acne, autism, arthritis, asthma, rheumatism, psoriasis, etc. is a hallmark of homeopathy. All the diseases cannot be described here, obviously.

2. Gives lasting relief:
Well, even the conventional medicine is effective. Then, why homeopathy? The superiority of homeopathy is in a fact that the relief offered by it in the treatment of chronic diseases is quite lasting for many months or years. This lasting relief is achieved because homeopathy treats the root of the diseases. The approach in homeopathy is such that it addresses the patient’s physical, disease, emotional, emotional and genetic totality; and treats the disease traits rather than treating diseases superficially. Depending on the nature of the diseases and its cause, the cure achieved by homeopathy may last for a very long time, many times for over decades or more.

3. Safe and free from side-effects:
Homeopathy is essentially a safe system of medicine, free from any adverse effects if used correctly. The format of the medicine is such that the medicines are devoid of any toxic substance, hence absolutely harmless. Homeopathy is safe for newborn babies, pregnant women, and elderly patients as well as for those patients who have delicate health.
Some of the other benefits and advantages of homeopathy include its cost-effectiveness, easy to administer, child-friendliness and it can be used along with other forms of medications.

How To Get Rid Of A Pimple - The Ayurvedic Way!

How To Get Rid Of A Pimple - The Ayurvedic Way!

Acne is a skin condition that is characterized by formation of red bumps on your skin. It usually occurs when you have oily skin wherein, the pores of your skin may get clogged by impurities thus, resulting in acne breakouts. It may also result from the inflammation of the skin wherein, the immune system tries to get rid of the bacteria on the skin.

According to Ayurveda, acne stems from the imbalance of the doshas, primarily the “pitta dosha”. The imbalance of the “dosha” leads to accumulation of toxins in the face, which, in turn, tend to pose impediments for energy circulation in the face.

The various Ayurvedic remedies for acne are:

  1. Diet: Diet is an important factor to consider when it comes down to the treatment of acne since what you eat is directly linked to your skin health. Limit eating oily and fried food as they tend to aggravate sebum production on your face. Include plenty of green vegetables in your diet as they provide essential vitamins to nourish your skin.

  2. Exercise: Make sure you exercise on regular basis as it improves circulation in the body. It also keeps your weight in check thus, reducing the risk of cardiac and metabolic disorders. It also facilitates removal of toxins from your body.

  3. Cleanse your face on a regular basis: You must follow a proper skincare regimen where you wash your face with a herbal soap at least twice daily. Don’t use harsh soaps as they can strip your face of all the essential oils, thus indirectly leading to overproduction of oil. Cleaning your face regularly is important to remove the dirt from your face, which otherwise may cause clogged pores, resulting in acne.

  4. Use herbs: Herbs like neem and aloevera as they are good for your skin and they help in reducing the bacteria that lead to acne. You may also use lemon juice as a toner as it has certain properties that reduce oil production and tones the skin. It also has astringent properties, which facilitate tightening of the skin thus, closing the opened pores.

Laser Skin Tightening - When Is The Right Time?

Ageing is an irreversible process of human existence. With ageing, your skin will start to show problems and one of them would be the loosening or sagging of skin. While there are many treatments available to counter this problem, one of the most effective and popular methods is laser skin tightening.

In this method, a focused beam of infrared light is used to heat up the collagen under the skin. This triggers collagen growth resulting in the skin becoming tighter, thus, reduces  sagging, wrinkles, lines and other blemishes in the process.

Who can go for laser skin tightening?

Laser skin tightening is targeted towards both men and women of any age. Most of the candidates who avail of laser skin tightening are within the age range of 30 to 60 years and have common complaints about skin caused due to age. Some of the problems that laser skin tightening can deal with very well are mentioned as follows:

  1. Tightening and repairing loose facial skin

  2. Reducing fine lines all over the body

  3. Reducing wrinkles all over the body

However, you should know that laser skin tightening will not be able to correct loose facial skin if they form jowls or droopy sacs. In such cases you may need to avail of other surgeries, such as a face lift to correct the laxity of facial skin. You can then follow it up with laser skin tightening to eliminate the remaining wrinkles or lines.

Which of the areas of the body can be treated by laser skin tightening?

This form of treatment has been found to be very effective with skin from all over the body. Some of the areas which can be treated are

  1. Abdomen

  2. Legs

  3. Arms

  4. Face

  5. Buttocks

  6. Neck among others

Laser skin tightening can treat even moderate amount of laxity in all of these areas, thus reducing the need to go for more invasive types of surgery such as tummy tuck surgery or even liposuction.

When would laser skin tightening not be applicable?

Laser skin tightening is a very commonly availed procedure all around the world and there are very few risks usually associated with it. However, it is not advisable in certain circumstances:

  1. If one is prone to having herpes outbreaks

  2. If anyone has suffered or is currently suffering from skin cancer

  3. It is not recommended for pregnant women either
