Food is best medicine instead of taking medicine which are not safe and may have side effects you should consult dietitian. Weight gain is a slow process it take time. And it need well planned balanced diet along with physical activity and proper rest. You need well plan diet suited to your needs. Mean while here are few tips for you- Start eating small frequent energy dense meals instead of 3 large meal. Small meals are easy to digest and keep digestive system running. You can eat small portion of healthy food in difference of 2-3 hours have shakes of fruits with added nuts drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water. Eat all seasonal fruits and vegetables. Manage stress Quit smoking or drinking if any do some moderate intensity exercises for 30 minutes daily. Have positive body image appreciate your self Take sound sleep of 7-9 hour keep your self motivated as it not going to happen overnight. Consult me online for better results.

See diet part is not at all difficult. U have a lot of options. U just need to do some planning, that's all 1. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). 2. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 3. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 4. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 5. Maintain active life style 6. Avoid fast foods n fried foods 7.Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 8. Drink lot of water 9. Everyday preferably sleep on same time Eating every 2 hours increases basal metabolic rate also. If you follow this over a period of time you will see that your intake of food has decreased Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, Swimming, gymming, walking etc. For more details you can consult me.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Looking at your weight and height it is clear that with a BMI of 28.42 KGS/ Sq meter you are very close to being in grade 1 obesity. It would have been better if actual TSH levels were mentioned. That would have given a clear idea about actual control. For Vitamin D3 deficiency the supplement. Can be taken. Knee pain can come down with weight reduction. Your ideal body weight should be about 70 Kgs. Thanks.

Hello Lybrate user, sugar in general is not good for health, it causes obesity and many other problems, inspite of that I advice you to replace your regular sugar either with jaggery original not refined, or with coconut sugar. Be healthy. Be happy.
