Hi lybrate-user, mood swings, or rapid changes in one's emotional state, may occur as a reaction to circumstances or environment, as a result of a physical or mental health condition, or for no apparent reason. General moodiness is likely to be a part of everyone's life, but in some circumstances, changes in mood may be severe and have an effect on health and daily function. When rapid or frequent mood shifts seem to occur without a cause or when they affect one's behavior, well-being, or typical function, the support of a therapist or other mental health professional may be helpful. Mood swings are often associated with persistent expectations for bad things to happen or, in other words, negative thinking. For example, you might be waiting to hear back from a job and assume you didn't get it after only a day has passed. Or maybe your mother has informed you that she has something to tell you and you immediately assume that she's deathly ill. Not only is this kind of negative thinking often inaccurate, it can also dramatically affect your mood and lead you to feel very angry and upset, typically for little to no" real" reason.[1] there are two different tricks you can try for dealing with such unhealthy automatic thinking: take a step back and relax. Instead of assuming the worst that can happen, think about all of the other scenarios that are possible. This will help you realize that the worst is not likely to happen, and that there's no point in getting all upset until you know more information. Alternately, you could consider the worst possible scenario and prepare for it, just in case. By ensuring that you are well prepared for even the worst case scenario you can imagine, you might be able to focus your attention on something else instead of dwelling on the unpredictable consequences that could result from it. Secondly, overgeneralizing is another way that you may lead yourself into a bad mood. Maybe you had a bad interaction on a date or with a co-worker. So what? you may think this means that you'll never find love or that you're going to be fired, but you shouldn't let this one situation or conversation make you feel like it's indicative or determinant of other trends in your life. This kind of generalizing is bound to make you moody and upset, but there is a way to counteract it. Remind yourself that what happened was an isolated incident. Instead of assuming one incident (such as a disagreement with a coworker or date) is reflective of your entire relationship with this person, consider it as a one-off and something that doesn't happen very often. Remind yourself of all of the success you have had in this realm, whether it's your work life or your romantic life, and you'll be able to calm down a bit and realize that there's no need to get all worked up about it. Maintain a well balanced diet and exercise regularly. Consult a psychologist for mood monitoring.

I am having very extreme social anxiety. Infact I can not even look at people Because I fear I will hurt them By looking in an indecent way. But when my mood is good and happy I can look at persons but beneath my mind I knew that my bad mood is coming and this effect is going to last. Doctor can pranayama and meditation can help free of social anxiety for 3 hrs (Exam period).

hello Rohit.... please follow these steps.................... Hey there, I used to have this too, trembling, sweating, and feeling so bad that my social life sucks. First of all, it’s really good that you notice it’s your fear of being judged. Here’s what you can do to counter this: Positivity challenge Instead of thinking ‘what’s she going to think of me’, re-frame it to ‘what if I do something cool’ ‘what if I get a good response’, and do this over and over again. The purpose is to retrain your mind, and yes, this is possible. win-win Our concern is always ‘how do I look’ ‘will i sound stupid’ etc, but what’s important is the ‘fun’ and the ‘value’ for everyone. So it’s not about you, whenever you feel judged, you’re making it about you which is selfish, once you’re more concerned about the fun as a group, you’ll stop being defensive and you’ll start to have fun too. expression is king The best thing for your life is when you express yourself freely, be yourself, do what you love, etc. So success is when you express yourself, not the response you get. Imagine yourself without fear, without thinking about what other people think, like talking to your very best friend, how would you be? build social calibration (specific to you) The final phase would be when you start to be the best social self you can be. thank u and best of luck

Dont take water after 8 pm, avoid evening tea/cofee/juice/liquor, wear loose and comfortable garments, protect yourself from cold environment, go to toilet immediately before going to bed. Also find out the usual time for urination during night and set an alarm just before that time to avoid bed wetting. Finally get your blood sugar level and specific gravity of urine checked.

To loose weight one has to persist with a drastic reduction in the intake of carbohydrates, (specially refined sugars) and fats, increase intake of proteins and increase the expenditure of energy by regular exercise. Starving ones self does not work for any length of time and three meals at regular times, eaten slowly is the best method. Avoid snacking between meals, have a good breakfast, moderate lunch and a light dinner. The foods to avoid are sugars, or anything that contains sugar and fat such as bakery products, ice creams, desserts, fried foods (like pranthe, pakore, puris) pizza and potatoes. Rice can be replaced with two chapattis made of multi grain atta. To fill your stomach one should take lots of fruits (papaya, apples, guava) and green vegetables (cucumber, ghia, laoki, teenda, and tori) and sprouted dal. Milk should be double toned. The protein intake should be increased by taking egg white, cooking should be in small amounts of olive / sunflower oil. Vegetarians can use soya bean dal, nutri nuggets and cottage cheese made from double tone milk. The best exercise is jogging or brisk walking for at least 45 minutes, five days a week.

Hi I work on a power plant project in a remote area. I am surrounded by dirty and humid atmosphere all day long. You need to take minoxidil lotion daily as it will prevent the hair fall and will help you increase the hair bulk. But the therapy will take time to show it' s result. Secondly start wearing some protective caps so as to avoid dust and other pollutants from damaging your hair.

I am having the problem of Lips Swelling, or hardening of some part of the face or itching sensation in any part of the body every 3rd day, for which I am taking Cetrizine. I am also suffering from ECZEMA in my right lower leg, which was caused long ago due to burn by Bike Silencer. Are these two things co related. And what is the permanent cure for these two problems.

The symptoms are related. The eczematous skin lesion caused sensitisation to various air borne allergens, and now the symptoms seems to be of angioedema. Kindly see an allergist/immunologist as this needs to be evaluated and treated properly to prevent the progression of disease and development of future complications.
