Pregnancy occurs when a sperm fertilizes an egg after it is released from the ovary during ovulation. The fertilized egg then travels down into the uterus, where implantation occurs. A successful implantation results in Pregnancy. On average, a full-term Pregnancy lasts 40 weeks. Symptoms of Pregnancy vary from one woman to another and some of the common signs include morning sickness, swollen breasts, nausea, increased urination, and fatigue, among others.

Pregnancy has to be carefully managed through regular visits to the Gynaecologist throughout the period till the delivery occurs. When any of the symptoms appear serious the doctor should be consulted. There are regular diagnostic tests conducted on pregnant woman, like, ultrasound tests and blood and urine tests.
HOW IS PREGNANCY TREATED?
A routine check up with a gynecologist is required for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth. Depending on the growth of the fetus and various medical conditions of the pregnant woman certain precautionary medications can be prescribed.
