The orthopedist and the oncologists together obtain the cultures first and then proceed with the treatment. Volume and metabolic reconstructions is done by doing procedures if the place is found where the infection is. The alternative treatment is intravenous antibiotics to control the infection first and then treat the infection. In case of IV antibiotics, the patient is administered for first 48 hours after which oral antibiotics are continued.
